Best app for this purpose! Desire for developments: To be able to be notified it the dog ends up outside or within a certain distance. A bug is that it sends sounds from emails to the watch even if you have turned off all sounds in the watch and the app. This only happens when the app is running.

Very nice visualization, and can see myself and one or two dogs and the corresponding tracks. However, the app locks, or exits on the watch, and need to start a new track, or sometimes need to restart watch, and start new track. I had this issue with my Fenix 7X Solar, and my friend har the same issue with his Fenix 6X. If this issue was fixed, it is a clear 5 star app.

Sorry to hear about your issues. To be honest, I haven't done much with the app over the last year because of issues Garmin has had with the detailed map page. Their support has been lackluster on that front. I'd actually disabled it altogether for a while on the F6. I'll do some playing with it, but I suspect that's the page that is giving you all the problems. And if it's like last time I looked, there isn't much I can do about it on my end. I've been pushing the boundaries of what they intended. For now, I'd recommend disabling that page and see if it solves all the crashing problems. The device itself crashing, rather than just the app exiting is guaranteed a Garmin issue as CIQ shouldn't be able to do that. To disable the detailed map page (you'll still get the bread crumb map page) Menu - Display Options - Map+. Set that to off.

Yes, and no. It will use the setting from the last native app (like Run, Bike) that you start. Garmin has provided no way for CIQ apps to configure this and I have complained about numerous times. I agree with you that N up is a much better experience since you want your location centered in the screen. That is why the bread crumb map is always in that mode, which I have full control over.

This app is incredible. A quick glance tells me where the dogs are and the watch vibrates when they go on point. The developer is very responsive. I have used it for a few seasons. Incredible.

Worked great the first month, then suddenly the arrow page that shows where the doggo's direction showed completly the wrong direction. The map page works great tho, even if its a bit annoying that the map disappear when it refreshes. would have been a 5 star if the arrow page worked as it should.

Sorry to hear you've been having some issues. You don't mention which device you are using. The map flashing was an issue with the Garmin FW and should be fixed in most of the latest devices with the recent fw updates. The arrow is most likely an issue with the device itself and would somewhat depend on if it has a magnetic compass. The app can only be as accurate as the heading it is getting from the device. The app has no control over how accurate the device is at computing the current heading.
