Name: Duo Dial - Analog-Digital Hybrid Face
Author: thesako

Analog hands and an LCD window on one dial, like the analog-digital sports watches of the 80s and 90s.

Duo Dial is an analog-digital hybrid face with a chronograph style layout. Hands and a seconds hand run over a textured dial. Set into the dial are an LCD window with segment-style digits, two sub-dial registers and a date window.

The dial comes in eight colours: Midnight navy, Petrol teal, Racing green, Anthracite slate, Oxblood, Chocolate, Deep violet and Black.

What you can set on your phone:
- Dial colour
- Date window
- LCD window, left and right value
- Battery: days left or percent
- Left and right register
- Time format (12 h, 24 h or as the watch) and a leading zero for 12 h
- Seconds on or off
- Date style: TUE 14 OCT, 14 OCT TUE, TUE 10/14 or 2026-10-14
- Always-on style: Rich, Minimal or Time only
- Units (watch, metric, imperial) and first day of the week (watch, Monday, Sunday)
- Second time zone: UTC offset and 4-letter label
- Touch and hold a field to open its watch screen (touch watches)

The LCD window's left value can be steps, heart rate, notifications, stress, Body Battery™, battery or battery days; the right value can be heart rate, notifications, stress, Body Battery™ or battery days, or nothing. The two registers take readings that fill a scale: steps, floors, intensity minutes, Body Battery™, stress, Pulse Ox, sleep score, battery, battery days, rain chance or solar intensity. The date window shows the date, the ISO week or a second time zone. What is available depends on your watch.

In always-on mode the dial dims and simplifies, updates once a minute and shifts slightly from time to time for the sake of the AMOLED screen. The seconds hand only runs in active mode.

Limitations: weather comes from your watch's last sync with the phone ("--" without one). Settings are phone-only in this version (Connect IQ Store app or Garmin Connect app). Values your model cannot provide show "--". Touch and hold works on touch watches (Venu® 4) only. Health readings are for general information and not for medical use.

Compatible: Venu® 4 41 mm, Venu® 4 45 mm, Instinct® 3 AMOLED 45 mm, Instinct® 3 AMOLED 50 mm. The D2™ Air X15 shares the Venu® 4 45 mm profile and is supported.

Privacy: Duo Dial collects no data and nothing leaves the watch. No internet, background or location permission. Permissions: Complications (show data the watch already provides and open the related screen), User profile (resting heart rate and heart-rate zones), Sensor history (fallback Body Battery™ and stress readings).
