Need to be able to select datum or the numbers are meaningless sadly.

Most useful widget I have. Love it. Just lately been getting a network error - 2 when trying to sync. Any ideas?

Would be nice to be able to select Chart Datum and a specific port. Tide flows are based on major ports - not the closest port.

Data seems to differ from my local tide charts plus no way to switch to Uk Chart Datum, which means the info shown is pretty much useless with local charts!

December 12, 2017 | Version 1.22-upd1

Decent app. Correctly detects and obtains my local tidal information as confirmed with worldtides webiste. Unfortunately however, I cannot view the values correctly on my Fenix 5 due to overlapping text. Can the font size be reduced or amended to eliminate this issue?

Anyways for the edges not to be cutoff? Other than that, I love it!

Good widget but it could be better if you could improve design. Design is poor. Fenix 5x

Can we please get an option to change the datum in the settings?

Good would go to great if you could set datum to LAT for Australian use as the figures it gives are really not of any use. Otherwise concept and data in the app would be great.

October 9, 2017 | Version 1.22-upd

Looks good on paper but useless as it shows "network error 104". No bluetooth connexion activated as I only conect my watch with a wire to my laptop. Any other suggestion to fix the bug?

Works well. Review would go from good to great if it had an option to set the datum. I understand this is possible from Worldtide. In Australia we don't use the MSL datum, so the numbers the app returns are meaningless. I also note that it doesnt quite fit on the screen of my Fenix 5s but that is only minor.

Awesome app. Worked great in Turks nd Caiscos but when I am in Chicago, cannot find data (since there is no tidal data within 100km) the Api returns {"status":400,"error":"No location found"} Would it be possible to have a 'default location' setting in the app where I could manually enter gps alternate gps location for that case so I could see a tide table even if I'm not in that location , for example I could put my default as 'Turks and Caicos' or my next vacation spot :)

Does not work on fenix 5s: “des returned error 40“

September 10, 2017 | Version 1.22-upd

Doesn't work: Error 1001 invalid API key. Same problem the text and graph version of this application. Pointless writing an application if you're not going to stay on top of things like this.

Hi Tim, Sorry to hear, you first have to create and enter your API key. I know it is a little bit of a hassle but instructions are provided in the description. Before you can use the app you need to register as a developer (at and set your API key in the High Tides settings in Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express. Instructions for setting your World Tides API key: - Open "Garmin Connect Mobile" on your mobile device - Click on "More" (on iPhone 3 dots in lower right corner) which opens the full menu - Choose "Garmin Devices" and select your watch - Select "Connect IQ Apps" - Now go to "Widgets" - If installed you should be able to see and select the "High Tides" widget - Finally you select "Settings" where you can enter your World Tides API key

This app is not functional on my Fenix 5S. So far, it has only given Error 104. I tried the fix the developer suggested in his response to one of the comments, but this did not work. I also wrote to him directly, but have not received a response.

Tides in relation to LAT would be most useful for me. Charts are always in relation to LAT so I think of tides in the same way.

I had the same issue with network error 104. I registered and got my code and turned on and off and re synced but not working. Any ideas?

August 4, 2017 | Version 1.22-upd

Thanks for the app. Similar feedback as tydiwan. If you could adjust the format / font size to fit on Garmin 935 round display, perhaps smaller / non-bold font. Top left and bottom right date cutoff at edge. Second row and second to last row overlaps respectively with top and bottom rows. Bottom row (location) runs off the screen.

Data is all there. Organization of data could be improved for the 5x. The edges are cut off and the data as presented is very cluttered. But thank you for this app. It is cool to have the tides on my watch.

Hi, you should be able to get it working on a fr230. If you send me an email with details on what is going wrong I might be able to give you some additional advice.

Good if it worked! (Great if it worked and you could select ft.) Was looking forward to this. Downloaded the app, installed, registered on the worldtides site and got the API key and installed. As soon as the app launches I get 'Network error -104' Can't figure this one out! :-(

Hi Chris, thanks for trying it out. You should be able to get it to work and you if it does it will automatically select ft based on the settings of your watch. Error -104 means that something is wrong with the Bluetooth connection between your watch and phone. You can try to restart Garmin Connect Mobile on your phone, restart your phone and/ or restart your watch. If it still doesn't work please let me know by email and I will try to help you further.
