Name: burnd: Treadmill & Run Intervals
Rating: 5 (1 reviews)
Author: MinimumEffort

Interval running on your Garmin watch: speed and incline targets on a treadmill, speed targets outdoors. Pick a program, 10–90 minutes and level 1–25. Press START once; every phase advances automatically.

WHY BURND
• More time adds short phases. Level sets speed and incline.
• Auto suggests a level from Garmin fitness data. Check targets before START; all 25 levels remain available.
• Change level mid-run, from the next step for this run only. BACK cancels; START pauses without applying a draft.
• No subscription, ads or separate fitness account. Save and sync to Garmin Connect.

FOUR PROGRAMS
• Sprint: controlled fast efforts with walking recovery, at most six Sprint phases.
• Fat Loss: pace and incline changes with walking breaks.
• Stamina: alternating jogs and runs with walking recovery.
• Hills: treadmill climbs with easier recovery. Outdoors uses speed targets, not terrain guidance.

ON YOUR WATCH
• Large countdown, heart rate and step counter.
• Next up shows the upcoming movement, duration and targets in the final 10 seconds.
• A colored ring shows the session remaining; it holds during pause.
• Session graphs for all programs; time, distance, pace and heart rate on a data page.
• BACK/LAP during recovery adds a separate 60-second Walk without changing the current countdown.
• Optional vibration and sound.

CONTROLS
Five-button watches: hold MENU, adjust level with UP/DOWN, then hold MENU to apply.
Venu 3S/3/2 Plus and vívoactive 5: swipe to choose; hold the lower button to edit/apply level.
vívoactive 6: hold the screen instead; lower-button hold stays with Garmin's shortcut.
Touch models: START confirms/pauses; short BACK returns/cancels. Choosing values needs touch. Taps never confirm.

YOUR SETTINGS
Open and exit burnd, then reopen Connect IQ settings to see profile values and defaults. Running VO2max takes priority, then a complete profile estimate for ages 20–70. Missing fitness data uses an editable generic reference.
Edit profile, starting level, treadmill limits and program Easy speed, Maximum speed and Maximum incline. Level 25 reaches your maximums within treadmill limits; incline uses reachable 0.5% steps. Outdoors has no incline or treadmill cap. Clear an edit for Auto. Unchanged saves keep Auto; edits stay yours. Settings apply next session.

SAVED WORKOUTS
Records program, levels, completed/planned steps, lap target ranges and planned-target charts for Garmin Connect. Measured fields and automatic sync stay unchanged. Display varies; connected apps may omit custom fields.

GOOD TO KNOW
Targets are guidance, not a personal fitness assessment or clinically validated prescription. Choose manageable settings; adjust or stop when needed. Fat Loss is a name, not a guaranteed result. Stamina does not display Garmin's proprietary metric. You control the treadmill; burnd does not connect to gym equipment. Watch speed is not verified belt speed. GPS and other readings have device/environment limitations. Missing readings show --. Independent of Technogym. English interface.
