Stop reading graphs before breakfast. Morning Brief looks at your watch's own numbers and gives you one clear call for today's training — with the reason and what to do.

EVERY MORNING
• The verdict: rest, easy, or go hard
• Why: Body Battery, resting heart rate against your own norm, recovery time and stress, on one screen
• What to do: full rest or a walk, 30 minutes in zone 2, or intervals and a tempo run
• Glance: today's verdict and your Body Battery, right in the glance list

HOW IT DECIDES
• Rest: Body Battery under 30 and resting heart rate 5+ bpm above your norm
• Go hard: Body Battery over 60, more than 7 hours of sleep window, resting heart rate not raised
• Easy: everything in between — one bad number on its own means an easy day

PRO
Pro adds two details pages — your Body Battery level, resting heart rate against your norm, sleep window, stress and recovery time, and which rule gave today's verdict — and a morning reminder: within two hours of the wake time set in your Garmin user profile, the watch offers to open today's brief, once a day, and only if you have not opened it yet. Choose Get Pro to open the payment page on your phone (tap it three times for a QR code to scan instead); after paying, paste the licence key you are shown into the app settings in Garmin Connect (License Key).

GOOD TO KNOW
Guidance only, not medical advice. The sleep figure is the sleep window from your user profile: Connect IQ apps cannot read how long you actually slept, and the app says so. Your resting-heart-rate norm builds up over the first days of wearing the watch; until then the rest rule cannot fire. The morning prompt is the watch's own "open app" message; Do Not Disturb and Sleep Mode can hold it back. Everything is calculated on the watch; your health data is never sent anywhere.
