Fairways on your wrist: the round you start in the Fairways golf app, on your Garmin.

WHAT YOU GET
- Front, middle and back distances to the green from your watch's own GPS, measured from surveyed greens, so they match what the Fairways phone app shows.
- A picture of the hole with the fairway, bunkers and water, turned so the green is always straight ahead.
- Plays-like distance on holes where the ground rises or falls.
- The hole changes by itself as you walk to the next tee. UP/DOWN changes it by hand.
- Enter your score and putts in two presses. It goes straight to your Fairways card, and anything you change in the phone app shows up on the watch.
- Keeps working with no signal: the course is stored on the watch, and scores send when it reconnects.
- Your round is saved as a golf activity in Garmin Connect.

HOW IT WORKS
You need the Fairways app (iPhone) and a Fairways account. Open this app, and the watch shows a six-digit code. In the Fairways phone app, open Settings, then Watches, and type the code in. Then start your round on the phone; the watch picks it up and downloads that course once.

PRIVACY
Uses your watch's GPS only while the app is open, to measure distances. It sends your hole scores to your own Fairways account, and nothing else. Remove the watch any time in Fairways under Settings, then Watches.

Covers South African golf courses mapped by Fairways. A course that is not mapped yet shows a message instead of distances.
