Very good idea.
I think that using an offset works only for lower temperatures far from body temperature. The ideal I think should be adjusted environment temperature as a mean between sensor reading and body temperature (ie. 36 oC) times some adjusting factor.

Not working at all on fenix 3. Removed

Hi there. As noted in the description, the widget requires a Garmin TEMPE external sensor in order to display the temperature on Fenix 3 devices.

Good temperature app but it can not be set to negative offset.
April 30, 2019, DouglasR
What you are experiencing is a problem with the Garmin Connect Mobile app; you cannot enter in a negative sign into the offset field until you've first entered a number. So to set an offset of "-1.4", first enter in "1.4" then put the negative in front of that.

Regarding the TEMPE device - The watch only connects when MEASURING AN ACTIVITY so the app will not show anything. || Nice, clear display (except for "DALT". What on earth is "DALT"?) || Recommended || °C /°F chosen via Garmin Connect/Express

I have a Garmin TEMPE but widget doesn't work with vivoactive3. It work only when you switch on other activity application.

Hi. I have VA3 and I also have Garmin Tempe. Tempe works fine with activities but I just can't make it work with this widget. Any suggestion?

Hi there. Please use the Contact Developer link so I can get more information and try to determine why this widget might not work properly with the vivoactive 3. Thanks!

Funktioniert super mit der Fenix5.
Synchronisation mit Tempe dauert ca. 5 sec.
Zusätzlich zur Temperatur lasse ich mir die aktuelle Höhe

Does not work with vivoactive 3. Temp reading is always between 27-31.
November 10, 2017, DouglasR
Hi there. The temperature reading you are seeing is the watch "internal" temperature, which is affected by your body heat. To get an accurate reading you require a TEMPE external sensor from Garmin. Once you watch is connected to a TEMPE the "internal" indicator will disappear and the temperature reading from the TEMPE will be displayed.

August 9, 2017, DouglasR
Hi there. As I mentioned in our email conversation, you must have the Garmin tempe external sensor for this to work as this widget is only designed to display the readings from the tempe sensor.

Hi there. As I mentioned in our email conversation, you must have the Garmin tempe external sensor for this to work as this widget does not read the internal temperature. Once you have the required tempe sensor the widget will work.

It is very nice to see the temperature with the curved graph in addition to the numeric value. It would be better though to be able to configure the scale of the graph to at least have the range match that the external Tempe Sensor can measure. My Tempe will only read the temperature down to -20C and the specifications also indicate that this is the case so why have a graph go down to -40?
December 21, 2016 | Version 0.9.1
Good looking Widget, works excellent with the Tempe, look forward to see more from this developer ... Thanks
November 30, 2016 | Version 0.9.1
A very welcome graphical temp display (in comparison to the blunt text from the original temp widget).
However, tempe has also the min/max values for the day. Would be nice to have 2 markers on the scale showing the min/max with some colours (blue/red) or simple indicators. Also, a third option for the bottom window should be the min/max temp values, after all it is a temperature widget, so I would like to have max info about temperatures :).
December 1, 2016, DouglasR
Hi there and thanks for the feedback. Displaying the min/max is on my radar to do but unfortunately will require a lot more work as the widget would have to connect to the "tempe" directly instead of using the access through the watch. However, as I said, that is definitely on the list of things to add in the near future.
