I am very happy with the FinalSurge App. I use it to follow a powerbased Plan and had no problems at all. As there are a lot of negative reviews, I want to clarify a few things. 1. The structured Workout feature can not be used with Power due to limitations by Garmin. 2. To download Workouts your watch must be connected to Connect IQ, you must have created a structured workout and have assigned it to your (beta) calendar. Following this steps works for me all the time.

I have a Garmin 735xt and been able to download both the app and the workouts. I found the key is to look for the FS app on the watch by navigating to Activity, then to IQ Apps, then select that and scroll down to FS app, select that App. Then options appear for Today's Workout, select new workout, load new workouts. The 1st time used you'll be asked to authorize the connection by using the garmin app on your phone. Hope this helps those with the download issues.

Workouts are downloading to my FR935. BUT, I’m trying to migrate to power-based training (Stryd) and the app does not display my power when following power-based workouts.

Same for me.... doesnt download the workouts at all. But if it would i expect the same as on the trainingpeaks app. Garmin structured workouts would not accept stryd as a powermeter signal.

Entirely unusable; workouts don't download, despite all steps being followed, and repeated ad nauseam. Their site is without a searchable knowledge base, and the whole experience from start to finish seems amateurish.

It's not possible to download the workouts to my Garmin Fenix 5. It should be so simple: just click & download!!! Some people says you can do it if you go to "beta site" and from there you can do this, that and that and...blablablablabla... Dear developers: Keep it Simple!!!!

So I’ve noticed a few things with Final Surge, using the app to try and create a workout and then download to the Final Surge app will not work. You need to log on to the Final Surge website, click on the Beta icon, add a Run workout and name it say Easy 6 then save it. After that then go back in to edit it where the Workout Builder will now appear and you can now properly set up your run settings HR, Power and Pace settings, Warm Up, Rest and Cool Down settings too. I have now been able to download 2 run workouts for the next 5 days just wondering if those who can’t get workouts loaded have been doing exactly what I did to get it to work ?

I would like to point out that (for me) the app works as designed. It looks at FS and pulls all workouts "that have been set up with the workout builder" (!) for the next days (range can be defined in the app). I had at first like many others here thought it wouldn't work because I expected every workout in the calendar to sync - but the functionallity is intentionally limited to workouts with workout builder data in it. Now it would be great if purchased training plans would deliver workouts based on the workout builder - which doesn't seem to be the case currently.

Works well for me. I use the web based Beta version to create my workouts with Power zones, time, heart rate or distances complete with notes then download from my watch.... so simple.

Useless since it won’t download my workouts. Synced and everything and it says that no workouts loaded. What is the point of this app if it doesn’t do this???
