Van Gogh's The Starry Night, alive on your wrist. Raise your arm and the sky starts to flow.

This is not a picture of a painting. The whole sky moves: the brushstroke swirls roll across the canvas, the moon's halo turns, the spiral stars spin, the round stars breathe and the village windows flicker on and off. Every time you look at your watch, the painting is in motion.

Then it gets out of your way. The time is written large on the calm patch of night sky, with the date just below, in a classic serif that stays readable over the brushstrokes.

YOUR STATS, IN THE HILLS Choose up to five stats in Garmin Connect, shown with small gold icons under the sky: • Steps, heart rate, Body Battery, stress • Calories, distance, floors climbed, VO2 max • Elevation, temperature, sunrise and sunset • Watch battery, with an icon that shows its charge and turns orange when it runs low Pick none and you get the painting and the time, nothing else.

MADE FOR EACH SCREEN • Painted for every size, from the 218 px Forerunner 255S to the 454 px Forerunner 965 and fēnix 8, not one image stretched to fit • AMOLED watches: the always-on screen becomes a thin line drawing of the painting with the time and date, dim and moved a little each minute to protect your screen • Memory-in-pixel watches: the painting stays on all day and the sky turns one small step each minute • Motion plays only while you look, so the battery is spent on the moments you see it • 12 or 24 hours, following your watch setting

Privacy: once a day, while it is your active face, Starry Night sends one anonymous usage report: watch model, firmware, language, app version, country, and the birth year and gender from your Garmin Connect profile if you entered them.
