Name: BackyardPace - for Backyard Ultras
Author: BackyardPace

Built by a Backyard Ultra runner who has done 19 hours.
For the moments when thinking gets harder than running.

BackyardPace runs your race clock so you only think about the next yard. Every hour, on the hour, 6.7 km.

AHEAD OR BEHIND, AT A GLANCE
A ring round the screen fills as you get round the loop. A red mark shows where the clock is. Ahead of the mark, you're banking rest.

YOUR TWO NUMBERS
Choose any two: heart rate and zone, distance left, average pace, or estimated rest. Tap a tile, or use UP/DOWN, to change it mid-race. Est rest turns red when this pace won't make the cutoff.

LAP COMPLETE ON THE BUTTON
Press the lap button as you cross the line. The yard is logged and recovery starts.

RECOVERY YOU CAN'T MISS
The countdown to the next bell, with your last yard underneath. The whole screen turns orange at three minutes and red at one, with buzzes at three, two and one minute, and at the bell.

MADE FOR WET HANDS AT 3AM
A wet screen or a jacket sleeve can't end your race or stop your recording. Ending a race can be undone, and the recording only stops when you choose to save it. An early lap needs a second press.

SAVED AS A NORMAL GARMIN RUN
Every race saves as a running activity, with a lap for each yard and each recovery. It syncs to Garmin Connect and on to Strava like any other run.

SET UP IN SECONDS
Set the start time on the watch and arm the race. It starts itself at the bell.

HOW TO BUY
US$3.99, one purchase, no subscription. When you first open BackyardPace the watch shows a short code. Enter it at kzl.io/code on your phone or computer to buy (payments by KiezelPay), and the watch unlocks within a minute. Once unlocked it never needs a connection again, so race day works with no phone and no signal.
