Sehr gute App, einfach zu handhaben, schnell und übersichtlich. Schnelle Reaktion des Entwicklers auf Anfragen. Absolut empfehlenswert!
May 20, 2021 | Version 0.6.7
Applicazione completa e fatta molto bene. Complimenti allo sviluppatore
April 18, 2021 | Version 0.6.5
I've tried all HRV apps on IQ Store available for my device and this one is the best, it gives most consistent results out of all and provide useful trend and history data too. It's easy to read and intuitive.
Please be aware that the app will try to enable your HRM strap if you have one, so make sure to disable it in sensors afterwards if you have concerns over battery life.
Thank you for the great app!

Thanks Denis. Latest version disables the sensor if you have CIQ3.2 and above

Best App for HRV, Thank you very much!
April 8, 2021 | Version 0.6.4
Great app, great support. I reported an issue (the fault actually lay with Garmin, not the developer), received immediate feedback and a rapid fix. This is how it's done!
March 29, 2021 | Version 0.6.4
great app! is there a way to set it to run at a certain time overnight? thanks
March 30, 2021, DJM_007
Thanks for the feedback. I'll research whether you can wake an app and run it.
March 22, 2021 | Version 0.6.4
seems really good...but after the 5 min test, how do you save the result for the trends...vivoactive 4...cheers
March 23, 2021, DJM_007
Thanks for the review!
The trends are recalculated after each run of the app. The Trend display shows the difference to weekly trend and then the weekly, monthly and long term averages.
I'm currently working on another view which will show the HRV values over time (for every test subject to screen width) along with the trend lines themselves.
FYI the log files associated with the app contain the actual trend a, b and r values.
PS email me direct if you have ideas for features you would like to see added

To be honest 5 stars should go even for the present version.
So why to propose anything?! Just to improve the app.
1. I guess the activity type of a HRV test is closer to Breathwork than Other. So its modification to Breathwork would be an improvement.
2. Ln(HRV) is a rounded number in the app, so even if the scale factor is a changeable parameter it makes no sense to use a small number as 1 or 10. My proposal would be the increase of the upper limit of the scale factor from 50 to 100 (or maybe 1000), or the addition 1 or 2 digits after the integers.
3. But being simpler, why could the testing page not show HRV instead of ln(HRV) as a result of a new setting option?
Thanks for listening to me.

Hi Zoltan. Thanks for the positive feedback.
1. Breathwork. I had heard that setting this as the app type means you get no graphs for the results.
2. I'll look at increasing the resolution or the multiplier. This might need some UI tweaking on smaller devices.
3. Ok. Should be easy enough. I'll add this as an option in app settings rather than a menu item.

I love the app - works great!
February 4, 2021 | Version 0.6.0
Klasse App um seine Trainingsbelastung im Auge zu behalten.
Der Entwickler ist super und reagiert direkt auf Anfragen.

Thank you for creating this app. It has been working in well with my training.

A great little application that is capable of displaying and recording all the HRV statistics that you can obtain from an HR strap paired to your Garmin device during a monitoring period. Saves a significant amount of effort compared to post-processing the HRV data in a separate application, and can give you the same data on your wrist in the app and graphically displayed in Garmin Connect.
An useful application if you're interested in tracking HRV data over time, and one that continues to be actively developed and improved. Worth your effort to download and to consider supporting.

I also like this. World it be a good idea to Change the activity type to something that also displays Textvalues not online graphs?
And o ve read somewhere that a good hrv Resultat weiß made by testing
2min lying, 2min standing, 2min lying
Thank you very much

Thanks for the review. I've added the ability to change the Ln(rMSSD) scale factor which will come in the next release. The summary view in connect shows all the final stats numerically. Did you want the connect record data to be textual rather than a graph ie to see data point numerical values over time?
Happy to receive suggestions for improvements or new functionality
December 14, 2020 | Version 0.5.6
I like the app much better than an older HRV app I had on my previous watch.
December 12, 2020 | Version 0.5.6
Very good app. Could you answer what is the scaling factor for natural log of the RMSSD? I assume the formula is factor*ln(RMSSD). The best would be add this factor to the app options. At example for me convinient factor is 20.
December 13, 2020, DJM_007
The current scale value is 50. I'll look to add this as a setting.
November 25, 2020 | Version 0.5.5
Thanks for this app. I am starting to use it.
The value of Ln(RMSSD) is strange. My RMSSD is 25.7ms, Ln(RMSSD) should be=3.2. But it is writing 187 ms on the report. Can you please clarify the calculation ?
Do you know how to extract the raw RR file ?
Thank you ! The app looks good to tcheck HRV values.

Many thanks for the review. The documentation link describes the various stats reported. "LnRMSSD – The scaled natural log of the RMSSD. This number can’t be compared to other sources of this information eg other apps though it is self consistent across runs."
Hope that answers your question.

I'm using this app since few day, I found it the most complete and free one in this app store. I suggest everybody to support the developer giving him a great reason to continue investing his time to improve this app. Thanks David for this app, and for the support you are giving me by email.

Nice app. And very fact reactions of my questions about it...
August 20, 2020 | Version 0.4.5
Source of HRV??? I have a compatible device - Forerunner 245!
July 8, 2020 | Version 0.4.5
Great developer, great overview, great app — probably the most functional in terms of HRV!
Hint: If you have a FR 945 and an external strap select “internal” in the source menu of the app.

HRV has become quite a popular topic in sports science. I was very interested to find an app that could provide detailed analysis of HRV from my Fenix5. Now I have the data.., next step is to understand what it means!
