Simply datafield for rowing machines with support the FiTness Machine Service protocol better known as FTMS, the latest Bluetooth Low Energy BLE standard used to control fitness equipment. Collects data on speed, distance, power, battery charge and writes this to a .fit-file. The datafield does not need any additional configuration, just add it to your activity screen and it should automatically connect to your rowing machine. Normal operation at any rowing machine is not guaranteed, is provided as is and the author disclaims all warranties. Tested and guaranteed to work only with open source ArduRower project https://github.com/zpukr/ArduRower which simulates the work of the original WaterRower S4 equipped with a bluetooth comm module (not work with WaterRower SmartRow!)</p>

Great bit of development. Spurred me to put bluetooth onto my diy rowing computer. Using yours as template. (thanks) Could be better if it published pace and distance fields into main log entry? Rather than connect iQ?

This fields (main log) cannot be written to due to restrictions imposed by Garmin on third party applications, "IQ" only. However, you can fill in the distance field manually after the end of the workout in the Garmin Connect interface, in this case pace calculated automatic also.

Works fantastic with the WaterRower S4 Performance and the original Bluetooth module. The 69€ invest in the BlueTooth module are worth it. Perfect would be, if ArduRowewr-IQ would write the distance not only in the own area but also in the Garmin distance field

Please don't leave negative reviews on this app. I was able to contact the developer in early March, but his response was that he was in the process of fleeing the Russian advance into Ukraine and had been forced to leave his computer and all other belongings behind.

It doesn’t work with WaterRower S4 comms 22 module + fenix 6xPro! Please fix it. The data field is under “Scanning” and after few minutes is “Disconnected”.

Managed to connect to Yesoul R40s rower machine after some debuging steps proposed by the developer. Kudos!

Great developer - there's a new FTMS rower - Whipr - that got recently released and he adapted the app in no time to make it compatibile with this one as well. So thanks for the fast solution and acting so quick.

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong. I have the S4 monitor + cam module. My Garmin 245 finds the sensor. The module works with the WaterRower app on the iPad. On the FR 245, the data field permanently says "Scanning". After about 3 -5 minutes then "S4 connected. I start with the workout and then there is scanning again ;-) What can I do?
