Greatly disappointed! Was excited that Garmin finally had worked with Dexcom to display on a watch, and I could be done with Apple. Bought a Garmin watch, and then discovered the Dexcom widget and Decom data field require internet. Even with internet it can't maintain connection. If I don't sign in every 10 minutes I can't see any CGM readings on my watch. Are there plans to improve the widget and data fields or even create a watch face that can communicate via bluetooth directly with the Dexcom App on my phone, instead of the Dexcom share cloud via internet?

Not reliable. Data needs to update quicker and more consistently

Won’t stay connected for more than a few hours. Have to constantly re sign in all the time Would love for an app like this. Has widget compatibility to put the data on work out screens. Just simply doesn’t work

Worked great.. Until it didn’t. Dexcom worked fine for about 3 months. It’s been down for about a week now and I’ve done everything I can think of to reset it with no luck. I should’ve bought an apple! Get it together Garmin..

I am terribly disappointed in Garmin and Dexcom. Garmin always gets second grade apps compared to Apple Watch (Dexcom app works via bt and it has both a graph and a data field) and Dexcom, this health tech giant is not able to hire a decent developer who can fix these issues in a matter of days. Ridiculous. I am surprised that nobody is asking these questions on their AGM.

Will Garmin ever make Dexcom readings work without the internet? Going off the grid this weekend....but I guess not with my Garmin watch since it can't display my Dexcom numbers to me! It's a shame they can't pull this data from the app that is already on the phone communicating with my transmitter.

I have installed this twice in after signing in the widget says "no data". I thought maybe it took a while to download and sync up the data but after 20 hours I still have no data on my dexcom widget.

I love the Dexcom G6 widget and use it all the time. The Dexcom app allows the selection of either 300 mg/dl or 400 mg/dl as full scale on their graph. I prefer the 300. Since the watch fave is necessarily small, I would like the graph in the widget to match the scale used in the app for greater clarity. Certainly not a deal breaker; but, it would be nice.

Can't believe or understand this but app works fine until my phone is without coverage. Can't imagine it is possible but happens without fail. Really app on garmin needs cell coverage? My fossil dexcom watch face never needed cell phone to have coverage. My

The performance of this app has degraded without a version change. Why am I being prompted to sign in multiple times on both the widget and the data field? My phone is always with me and I always have cell service, why is this app performing badly now. It updated pretty decently for a while. Please pull the data directly from the dexcom app. Why is an internet connection absolutely necessary for this? I understand this is pulling from the cloud, but it should not have been designed that way. I’m at a point now that I’m going to be wearing both my garmin and my Apple Watch during athletic events because the Apple Watch dexcom app display is reliable.

GARMIN...WAKE UP!!! WILL SOMEONE AT GARMIN PLEASE READ THIS!!! Please design an App &/or Watchface that do the following. 1. Ditch the need for internet and the share server. Direct to Dexcom App. THIS NEEDS TO WORK WITHOUT INTERNET. 2. Large font size so we can read in the middle of the night without glasses. 3. Alert of Low & High threshholds that are set by the user. 4. Vibrate longer than just a quick buzz that we can't feel while sleeping. Your vibration on all Venu and Fenix products is not that great. I have bought and now returned the Venu Sq Music, Venu 2, Venu 2 Plus and Fenix 6 due to the lack of all of the above. Please help us here. If you want to change the lives of people with Diabetes who exercise and struggle with blood sugar issues please at least have some Engineering conversations about some of this. These are potential live saving opportunities here. For now I will stick with my old Vivoactive HR and the Apps from other people that allow me to at least communicate with Xdrip+. When I'm in the Mountains with the Vivoactive HR and other Apps it is Awesome! No Internet Required!

The good: I can view my BG's in live time on my Garmin watch during normal day-to-day life. As long as I have an internet connection, the app works and it's pretty handy when I'm going about my day, and especially during physical activities like going to the gym or going on a long walk or run. I'm really glad I have this in my life now, where for the longest time I didn't and would have to constantly check my pump. The bad: The ConnectIQ app requires an internet connection to work, so the app will not work during remote activities where there is no internet connection (hiking, fishing, hunting, etc.). In my case, I usually have to keep a pretty steady eye on my readings anyway because they can drop pretty quickly during strenuous activity (e.g., hiking through snow, wading through water, rock climbing, etc)... without the watch component, it makes the whole process of managing my sugar outdoors more cumbersome, and scary at times to be honest...imagine being waist-deep in a river or out in the snow, your hands either full, wet or you can't even feel them, and you feel your sugar drop...not great! Would rate higher if the app didn't require an internet connection to work. Feature request: To the devs, I hope y'all can produce a newer version that just lets Garmin pull the readings from the Dexcom app via Bluetooth only and without the need for an in-app sign-in to be active. Is it possible to set it up so the Dexcom app and the watch produce matching keys that refresh every 90 days (similar to Github)? That way the internet requirement can be removed (or at least its importance drastically reduced to one internet sign in every quarter instead of every session), while also ensuring a standard level of security and consent for the data.

Love this widget!! Just got my Dexcom two weeks ago and I have been using it since day one. I had to drive the following day for about 10 hours and it came in handy because I didn’t have to pick up my phone to check my BG. It would be great to have the Dexcom integration implemented into the watch faces themselves. But at least for I’m happy that I don’t need my phone with me and I can access my BG with the flick of a finger on my Venu 2.

If I could give this negative stars I would. Installed the 1.0.4 update. Still doesn't work on my Vivoactive 4. Widget keeps saying "No Data". I uninstalled the widget, restarted my watch, reinstalled. Nothing! I upgraded to the VA 4 from the VA 3 so I could get Dexcom data on my watch. I guess the next step is to start complaining to Garmin.

Was working, somewhat, before the latest update. Now, keep getting "no data" error. Have uninstalled/reinstalled, restarted my device (Vivoactive 4). Still not working. Terrible! As others have said, there should be a watchface. Unless, of course, it works as well as the widget.

Heinously buggy. The free nightscout app I used to have was good, this Dexcom garbage is an embarrassment. Dexcom: another greedy evil corporation.

Just give us a watch face!!! Also, if Garmin could make this "Widget" (Not App) read it's values from the Dexcom app and not the Dexcom share server we would not have lost our readings for almost 2 hours on Nov 30th in the afternoon. And we could actually take our adventure/outdoors watch into the mountains where there is no cellular service and it would still get readings...what a genius idea!!!

Why is this connection to dexcom on my phone so complicated? It also does not work the way the instruction tell you. Been on hold with Garmin customer service for 30 min. It should just connect and set up like all other apps do.

Every time I open my widgets, it says no Bluetooth connection or that there is no data. Wish my numbers would stay there when I navigate to it.
