After trying hundreds I stay with this. Thanks to the developer. Fully customizable, there are also predefined themes to give you ideas. What I liked most, the subtlety of the Gauged, are integrated in a delicate but effective way.

This is likely the best watch face so far. Great customization, awesome appearance. On the Forerunner 935 I have experienced the following two issues: first, broken-like screen behaviour during DND just after updating settings through garmin express; and second, while moving through widgets with up/down buttons, secs will step over dead-like widget. Work-around 1: wait for one minute or less, the face will redraw on next watch minute count, clearing out all the mess. Work-around 2: while on a widget, press back button to go to the watch face; don't use up/down buttons. If I may, my wish list for this face would be: a) keeping digital time during saving battery settings; b) having months and day names on other languages. Still, awesome watch-face, congrats!!

Hello and thank you :) It seems that on some watches Garmin's firmware has a tendency to redraw the face more often than necessary, and I have tried to implement some measures to control this to conserve the battery. The tricky part is that apparently on different models the firmware behaves differently and it could be that what works on one watch does not work on another. I can't reproduce it here and I don't have a FR935, so it would be good to know more about the settings that you use, otherwise I don't have enough information to understand what's going on on your watch. First, I would like to know if you use any dynamic options that change the display on wrist gesture, what type of seconds you use (dots or a hand), and whether you have enabled 'Sticky dots'. You can let me know through the 'Contact Developer' link. Thanks! Otherwise, a) is something I will need to think about, b) is already being planned.

I am having the same problem as others, with the watch face disappearing the past two weeks. Today I downloaded and installed it again and it disappeared within one minute. This is my favorite watch face and the only custom watch face I have ever downloaded. I hope you will be able to fix this soon, I hate the regular Garmin faces.

Thank you for enjoying Time Flies. If your watch is Vivoactive 3, I'm afraid I can't do much, it looks like the ball is on Garmin's side. If you haven't seen it yet, please have a look at https://forums.garmin.com/forum/into-sports/health-fitness/vivoactive-3-aa/1441337-syncing-watch-face-issues-after-5-70-update. If your watch is something else, please let me know through the 'Contact Developer' link.

Great face i just can't get the sunrise /sunset to work on my vivoactive 3 any ideas at all? I've tried starting a gps outside etc but never updates?

Thank you! Does the sunrise / sunset work with other Connect IQ watch faces on your watch? You can reply using the 'Contact Developer' link, it is easier to communicate back and forth to clarify problems.

Loving it - can be customised to with lovely taste, as well as customising information fields. Only weird thing is the device keeps reverting to default watch face, maybe when charging or updating software?, But when this happens, it is easy to reselect the his one and my personal style settings are remembered.

Thank you! Is your watch a Vivoactive 3 ? If so, there seems to be some trouble with the new firmware version 5.70 that causes the Connect IQ faces to disappear randomly. Please let me know, maybe better through the 'Contact Developer' link.

Perfect, but would like to have option to show "do not disturb" status icon in status icon field (maybe instead of battery icon, can have that on a gauge)

Developer Reply
January 14, 2019, Vgfsyhcxft

Thank you! Not perfect yet, but trying :) The DnD icon is already there, but it only appears when you don't have pending notifications - this is how Garmin have done it, I can't change this behavior.

I don't know why but ist slows down my vivoactive 3. May it's the HR-Bar on the bottom.

Developer Reply
January 12, 2019, Vgfsyhcxft

This depends on how you configure this face. The more features you enable, the longer it takes to draw them. If this face slows down your watch more than other comparable faces, then maybe something is wrong, please let me know.

For about 2 weeks I experience same issues as Tracey (29 dec 2018). I have 3 watch faces installed from Connect IQ store. One of them is Time Flies which is my overall favourite until now. A few times a day the 3 custom watch faces disappear from my Vivo Active 3. The watch only shows IQ icon with exclamation mark. Only restart of watch brings them back again. I am not sure if one of the watch faces is the rootcause. I also did reset to factory settings but this didn't solve it either.

It seems that there are at least some Vivoactive 3 users out there who experience similar problems since Garmin have updated the system software to 5.70 - all the CIQ watch faces disappear from their watch from time to time. To eliminate the possibility that one of your installed faces is causing this, you could temporarily install a different bunch of faces for a day and see if there is any difference. If not, then probably the problem lies with the watch or the system software.

This is the best watch face I’ve found with many ways to customize the look and features represented on the watch face. The only thing I’m having difficulty with is adding the battery percentage. It shows that as an option in the store photo. I have a vivoactive music. Suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi, I just did install this watch face on my new Garmin Forerunner 235. Looks really great, but I do not see the hand for seconds. I love the blue one on your picture, but I don't see it on my watch. How can I make settings to see it?

Developer Reply

Happy New Year! I'm sorry but the seconds hand is only available on the watch models beginning from fenix 5. FR235 does not have the capability to update the display every second.

Love this watch face however for some reason it keeps disappearing and when I go to loon at it on the watch it just comes up with IQ! How do I fix this please?

Developer Reply
December 29, 2018, Vgfsyhcxft

Oooops, that means something is wrong, but with the little information you provide, unfortunately I can't tell what. So far the only known problem that can have such effect is when you try to use Goal / steps graph on Vivoactive 3. If you have Vivoactive 3, please do not configure DBox to show Goal / steps graph. Otherwise, please 'Contact Developer' if you read this. I need to know more detail to be able to help you. Thanks!

As the third line of the description reads, "To uninstall a Connect IQ face with Garmin Connect Mobile, switch to another screen on your watch first" :) Please note that you don't need to uninstall one face to install another, you can have multiple faces installed and switch between them. This is explained in more detail here: https://vgfsyhcxft.com/common-problems/

My favourite analog watchface, but I wish I had date in Italian, like in your other beautiful watchface "Rails"

Developer Reply
December 26, 2018, Vgfsyhcxft

Thank you! For technical reasons, I can't use the same method here as in Rails. It is still possible to add Italian, but a bit more complex to do. I'm planning this for the future.

For the life of me cannot figure out how to display the day of the week (Mon, Tues, etc.)

Developer Reply
December 25, 2018, Vgfsyhcxft

You need to add 'n' to the date format defined in the settings. Also please note the size limit if you want to display the date in the DBox - it can only accommodate 5 characters, that's why the default date format is as it is. This is explained in detail in the online user manual accessible from the download page. https://vgfsyhcxft.com/time-flies-user-manual/

Forerunner® 935 с этим циферблатом тормозит. Реакция на нажатие кнопки 3-5 секунд. На предыдущих часах очень привык к этому циферблату, из аналоговых по мне, как лучший. Очень жаль расставаться....

December 22, 2018, Vgfsyhcxft

Sorry to hear this. Unfortunately I don't have a 935 to do a real life test, on some other watches I tried it appears OK. 3-5 secs does not seem right for a 935. If you would like to help me investigate this, please "Contact Developer" through the link provided on this page.

This was the very first watch face I tried in my very first garmin. I simply loved it. I have tried some others but end up coming back to this one; it allows to highly customize the data display as well as the design. Awesome job!

Awesome! Thanks for update with pressure! The pressure shows correct value at fenix 5x, and also reacts to manually calibration. Great job. Thank you! This is not so simple to do for this watch face, but I'm planning to look into this at least for some languages that use Latin alphabet.

Sorry, no statistics available yet.
