Having the same issues many report. Downloaded the App, got the activation code. Set up the iheartradio account put in credit card info for the free trial set up playlist. Then when I go to sync to the watch it is just error messages. I have tried to sync 10 times now while watch is plugged up (that was the first error message, watch needed to be plugged in). Now the it is just an error message unable to sync. So now I have wasted a couple of hours trying to get this going. Luckily it is a free trial period so I don't have any lost money just time. Well it would be nice if there were music options that worked on this phone.

Sucks. I have my music synced on phone from iHeart radio, put Playlist won't pop up on watch. Disappointed
28 August 2018 | Version 1.5.1
The whole experience is completely worthless. Unless you buy your music, download it or convert to MP3 and copy over this feature is not valuable at all. iHearRadio doesn't really work well. It fails synchronizing, it fails constantly to login and the synchronization works 1 every 20 times. Forget about blaming internet connection, wifi strength etc. It is just very poor implementation.

26 July 2018 | Version 1.5.1
Can't register an account at iheart.com - I fill in the fields (zip code 00000 as I'm not in the US) and it just doesn't respond...
23 July 2018 | Version 1.5.1
I can't activate. I have just tried to open the web to activate. But i can't login

What is happening when you go to iHeart to activate?
13 July 2018 | Version 1.5.1
I was skeptical about the app with all the negative reviews. I was waiting for the Deezer app to see if that would be better, but who knows if that is ever coming to Garmin. I signed up for IHeartRadio All Access (30 day free trial) and downloaded the app. The app works well. No issue to report. You do need to plug in you watch to the power cable to sync music from WIFI (took about 10-15 minutes to download 45 songs). It is nice to be able to sync the playlists I created from IHeartRadio and use them on my Vivoactive 3 Music when I am running or out for a walk and do not need my phone. Lots of great music on IHeartRadio.
10 July 2018 | Version 1.5.1
After reading reviews I was concerned it wouldn't work. It took a few tries to synch because I was in bad wifi area, but after 3rd attempt it synched perfectly and I was able to get my playlist on my watch and use it for my run. Fenix 5 plus.
09 July 2018 | Version 1.5.1
Unusable. VivoActive3 Music will not sync playlists. Goes thru motions, ends with message "Some files have not synced"... then no music or playlists at all!
18 July 2018, iHeartMedia
After the music syncs, have you selected iHeart Radio as your music source in the music player?
05 July 2018 | Version 1.5.1
It's not the smoothest experience in the world, but it works, and that's what really matters. The great thing about Garmin is that this will improve over time. It might not always be what you want, exactly when you want it, but issues always seem to get resolved. Thanks for this one !

Complicated, dont work and completely Useless.
@Garmin, a bit more effort, this watch is expensive enough to have at least an OK music services.
