Does not work on my 1030 with IPhone running latest Iphone OS. My 1030 connects to the Garmin Connect Then I go to my 1030 - press IQ - STRAVE - it say - to mplete connection open .... etc... on my phone .. on the phone I get message - must log onto Strava - I agree the sharing of info etc... and all it does is to take me to my Strave normal web site (and this is within Garmin Connect program (blue border on my phone screen) - No impressed ...

update works great on 1030. love the change to only show a smaller number of more recent routes. makes it much quicker.

Not sure why so many people are having trouble with this version but it works like a dream on my Fenix 5x!

Impossible to connect my watch to Strava Routes: it keeps mentioning "session expired" when we try to grant access to Strava account on the iOS Garmin Connect App. No Workaround, impossible to copy and paste the auth URL to test it from another device/browser: everything is disabled on the screen.

How to fix "Session timed out" error... Very frustrating for awhile, but all you have to do when your session is said to have timed out is: 1) Swipe down and click the "hamburger" options button and log out 2) Close the Garmin app by double clicking home button and swiping up 3) Restart the Garmin app on your phone and Strava Routes app on device 4) Log back in when prompted.

Keep getting Bluetooth error, even though my phone is connected. It just will not load the routes I have created. More crap software from Garmin! Really disappointed in their Face It app too!

Sounds great, but doesn't work. The device (Edge 520 plus) says go to my phone to complete, my phone logs into Strava and immediately says session expired. Quit, re-log in and still nothing. Thus far my foray back into Garmin products has been a disaster.

Tras descargar la ruta y desconectar el móvil mi 735XT inició la ruta pero ni contaba km ni ritmo ni nada de nada.Supongo que no será necesario llevar el movil encima, porque sino para que quiero un reloj...

Cannot use it, as i cannot log in strava with my google account from Garmin Connect... It says: "Error: disallowed_useragent. This user-agent is not permitted to make an OAuth authorization request to Google as it is classified as an embedded user-agent".

This is going to be long-winded, but I hope it helps someone else who has the same problem as me. The app worked great for about 8 months for me. I used it heavily to navigate trails and new street commute runs. Then, right when I needed it most (traveling abroad), I kept getting the following two messages, in series, when attempting to load a route: "Exceeded maximum number of courses. Some courses not imported." Followed immediately by "Trouble connecting to the server Error Code: 2050." I contacted Strava support, and they had me follow a procedure similar to what others here have recommended, to no avail. However, as I poked around, I noticed the Navigate feature had a "Courses" section; in that (completely unrelated to Strava) app, were all my Strava courses! This was likely the aforementioned, filled-up courses section the first error was talking about! I deleted all courses from that section, and voila, I am once again able to use the app.

Ah, finally! Back to loading private routes. Thank you developers! Update (or reinstall) the app from Garmin Connect, go through authentication again and authorize the use of private route info. Works like a charm again on my FR935!

Preinstalled on edge 1030. Routes show on device but crashes when click on navigate. No good.

Well that was useless. I've got most of my routes marked private and those will not get listed on my Edge for download. Those are exactly the ones I want to be able to download. So for me this is useless. However, a really good design is that is does not download the courses automatically but instead lists them for download so it doesn't clutter up your saved courses listing.

Sorry about the formatting ......Kevin said this 1) Open Connect app on phone, then remove Strava as an app within the Connect app. 2) Sync with your Edge 1030 3) Reboot Edge 4) Open Connect app again and find Strava as an app within the Connect app, and install it. 5) Sync phone with Edge 6) Go to IQ on Edge device, start Strava, which will prompt you to complete setup via your phone (just logging into Strava in the connect app) 7) Hey presto, it works again! .............Jarek said this 1. When you get to the page that gives the 'Your session has expired" message, swipe down. You should see a hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) near the right edge of your screen. 2. Tap the hamburger menu. 3. Tap Log out. 4. Close your browser (double-tap the home button and then swipe the app preview off of the screen)........ I would like to add this, as it worked for me when nothing else did:::: 1 Plug the 1030 into your computer 2::: Open the Garmin connect App, not the web page 3::: Sync the 1030 4::: Click on the big square IQ APPS box. it also says Manage the apps on your Edge 1030 5::: Remove the Strava app from the list 6::: Re sync 7::: Reboot the 1030 8::: Open the Garmin connect App again 9::: Add the Strava app by going to the IQ APPS box, click bottom right, Get More Apps 10::: Search for the Strava App, find it and download it, sync your 1030 11::: launch the app on the 1030 12::: follow the instructions on your phone, basically allow the connection and give it your Strava name and password

A little bit tricky to install, but once it is, it works fine! Even on a small sized screen with no map, like the 520.

Disappointing - this would have been great, but there are plenty of bugs! App keeps asking to open Garmin app on the phone, errors regarding "server connection", and so on... :(
