I have a vivoactive 3, how do i get this to work please?

The Couch to 5k app is a data field. When you download a new data field to your watch it does not appear automatically. It just becomes available for use in an activity.
You need to customise one of your activities to display this new data field. I recommend copying your default run activity, then adding the Couch to 5k data field to the copy. This way you can select to use either your default run activity or the modified copy depending on the type of run you will be doing.

I have not used the Vivoactive 3, but the Couch to 5k data field usually appears in a group called 'ConnectIQ Fields'.

I just finished the program today, and it worked great. Now I need to find a 10k version that picks up where this left off.

Beyond impressed with the app. This is my second d time doing the c25k program. 1st time I did it with an app on my phone. Needless to say it was annoying to have to carry my phone while running to do the program. Now to have this app on my watch AND as a data field is common sense and pure genius. It works flawlessly!!! I do wish there was an option to turn off minute reminders. At first I would've preferred to have the alerts for changing from run to walk. But I've gotten use to it now. Excellent work to the person/team behind this app.

hi can you help, i have used this for 3 days on my vivoactive hr and the days are not incrementing each time i use it, is there a special way to set it up or over write the built in run app?

Hi, the activity number should advance when you have completed each activity. If you stop the activity before it reaches the end then it will not advance to the next one.
Alternatively you can select the next activity using the Garmin Connect app on your phone or PC. From the settings menu, choose Garmin Device, then select your watch. Select Activities, Apps & More, then Data Fields. Select the Couch to 5k running app, then choose settings.

Couch to 5k installs onto you watch as a data field. As with all new data fields, it will not appear automatically.
In order to use the data field, you need to customise the data screens for one of you activities. You can find instructions on how to customise the data screens for you activities in the instruction booklet for your watch.
When you customise one of the data screens, you will be given the option to change the data fields that are displayed. When you do this you should find Couch to 5k within a group of data fields called ConnectIQ Fields.

it is a very useful extension for the default run activity. Now I'm on week 6, and I've never experienced any problem. I really like the signals in every minute, do not need to check my watch periodically. Thank you very much for your effort!

I'm sure its me as I apparently am technically impaired, but when I finally found this activity on my Garmin I was so excited to use it as it would buzz me when to wall and buzz me when to jog while training. However upon using it for the first time, it only timed me. No notifications, no title with week and day, nothing just began timing so I had to remember all the intervals myself. Not fun when you are already struggling to get out there. As I said, I'm sure its me not understanding something I should be doing. Still disappointed.

Hi, sorry to hear you are having problems with the app. It sounds as if the data field has not been added to the activity you are using. If you made a copy of your default run activity and added the data field to that, you will need to ensure that you select the copy when you go for a run.
The data field will only be active for the activities that it has been added to. This is why I suggest making a copy. On my watch I use the default Run activity for free runs and a copy of this activity which I renamed to 'Couch to 5k' for any runs which that I do as part of a C25k workout.

Thank you! I really like the ability to change the week and day of the program and vibrating strength on the phone. It would be great if you also showed on Mobile Connect how many minutes walk vs jog each day have so you could chose another day, step back in case of knee pain etc. Another suggestion is to skip the big "Couch to 5K" text in the datafields and instead showed day and week AND ratio jog/walk, like for example: "5/3 x 3" meaning 5 min jog and 3 min walking x 3. Good work on the app! Cheers /Fredrik
