Trying this out, seems like it has a bug with the Edge 1030 at least where it doesn't save the GPS data when one is done. On the forums this was mentioned as a possibility, and I have now verified by doing a few attempts. This results in missing data on Xert, let alone connect/strava, etc. Still trying to track down more info on this.

I do not have a power meter and my trainer is "dumb". I tried to input figures in the Resistance submenu on my Edge 520 to have Xert calculate watts from speed/cadence/resistance in the same way that Zwift does. However, clicking on Resistance takes me back to the main screen. Is that to be expected? Does Xert not produce derived watts?

The player currently only supports devices with real power data - smart trainers and power meters.

Garmin is aware of this issue with the 1030. We hope to resolve it shortly.
