Is it work??
if I use HRM Tri, and How it work when I am using HRM Tri?
April 5, 2018 | Version 1.20
Does what it claims to do. Drawbacks are a lack of smoothing algorithms and laps not being set when moving from one step to another when using a Connect created workout which causes problems when trying to do an FTP test type run to workout what your Power Zones should be.

Records interpolated power according to Garmin’s algorithm, like it is supposed to. It works 100% reliably with my fēnix 5 and RD pod combination.
My #1 feedback would be to request (more?) smoothing in the algorithm so that the numbers are slightly less sensitive to bouncing around and also so that the recorded graph is less noisy.

Nice idea, the values however are far from correct.....
Needs a few updates more to be useful, for now I removed it from my screens.

Useless for training! When I run different paces with power displayed from 300W-500W in laps the average power is 353W-355W.

Great to be able to have a power meter without buying extra gear. I would like to see more statistics in the gc App. Like that the Software calculates my FTP and the zones, so that I could have more possibilitys to Train with this zones.
Would be also great, if there were trainingsplans based on power zones.

Surprisingly good! The fact that it takes into account wind information was a very pleasant surprise.

I was interested to try this data field but when I installed it on my watch - my elevation and barometer data went all screwy. I uninstalled, factory reset and tried again - same thing...

It's OK, not more than that, in my opinion. A missed opportunity is that power data isn't available for the custom datafields in the IQ app store. With the Stryd footpod, the triathlon watches can connect to the footpod also as a power meter. That enables other datafields to display power as well. If one uses a custom datafield with 7 metrics (like Datarun plus for example), power should be on it. Garmin doesn't facilitate this and one has to revert to 4 metrics or browse to screen number 2 and back all the time.
Even better would have been if running power would have been a native metric in the Garmin watches....

Really great app. Well designed and executed. The analysis in garmin Conenct could be improved. A great place to lern more about how to use POWER data in running can be found at STRYD.com

It's interesting to see power but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with the data? Would be nice if the Connect mobile app would show average and maximum power for each run instead of just a chart.

Hello! Thanks for the good work! Appreciate to use power data for run. A bit surprised with the different data I got (compare with cycling power) but I like it! Works fine.

How should we understand this data?
