This app is great fun to view after a ride. I have been using it for years, and for the longest time it would either not start even though my radar was on, or, more often, it would crash. These days this problem appears to be fixed. However, one problem remains. For example, yesterday the first 12km of my ride, I was passed by only 2 cars (and no trucks, busses, bicycles, or motorcyles), yet the number of passes on the widget reported 12. This is apparently from motion sensors I passed. I wonder if there is a way to screen these out? Otherwise, the total passes count is useless.

Thanks for the feedback. Right now if a car makes it within 30m, I count it as a pass once it disappears off the radar. The 30m threshold works well for many people, but depending on your riding scenario the threshold may need to be tighter as if cars frequently turn behind you or if there are a lot of bends in the road, the car can disappear and reappear on the radar more frequently. I am going to tighten down the threshold a bit in the next release as I don't think cars will be lost if I bring it all the way down to 10m by default. I will also make it a user configurable setting in a later version. Thanks again for the feedback!

Una aplicacion imprescindible para el radar Varia de Garmin. Con los campos de datos puedes saber a que distancia y velocidad está el vehiculo que viene por detras. Además puedes saber cuantos vehiculos te han adelantado y ver el recorrido en la web y ver donde sucedió cada adelantamiento. Más que recomendable. An essential application for the Garmin Varia radar. With the data fields you can know at what distance and speed is the vehicle that comes from behind. You can also know how many vehicles have passed you and see the route on the web and see where each overtaking happened. More than recommended.

A must download. I wouldn't ride without this now. Follow the really clear instructions and you will be able to get access to more data files including how many cars have passed you, details of the speed of the nearest vehicle behind you etc. Worth a free download for sure and I've sent a contribution to the developer. I wouldn't ride without this now.

The "715" is to road cycling, as GPS was in the late '90s to everyone! It uses are so much more than just cycling. I taped it onto a PVC pipe and placed it in my garden out by the curb. I "speed trapped" my neighborhood street for 5 hours one morning. Just playing with it! I stopped on an overpass of Interstate 5 and recorded southbound traffic for 5 minutes, just to "play" with it. What about placing one of these in construction zones? Remember it's video and speed recordings. We're looking at innovation here. I've been showing it to our police and sheriffs deputies. They're amazed! Wouldn't ever get on a road ride again without one.

Such a great app that it really should be included by default. I had it installed on my 1030 and when I upgraded to the 1040 I thought it would transfer but it needed to be reinstalled.
