NavMultiField is full screen sized data field with various metrics and turn by turn instructions on one screen for easy navigation during the ride or workout. Metrics shown on screen are configurable by user.</p><p></p><p>Supported devices have ability to navigate along route from factory. However rendering turn-by-turn navigation is limited and usability is compromised, mainly on non-map devices. NavMultiField is trying to change this and brings back usefulness of navigation on these devices.</p>

Looks good On my F5x+ I noticed if I have a black background the text didn't become white - it stayed black. Not sure if beta f/w bug or not but wanted to let you know - not going to mark down as it doesn't affect the functionality at all!!

I've used it for quite some routes now and it really is a great data field. I have to look on the map screen less often. Unfortunately it displays only 10 characters of navigation text instead of specified 15 on the Fenix 5s. And you have to plan your route carefully via third party apps like ridewqithgps to get navigation text but that's garmins fault (so no strava or garmin connect routes). Be aware that garmins waypoint limit on the Fenix 5 is only 50 TBT notifications. Things i miss: -More characters for navigation text (there is still plenty of room left on the side) -some calculations like gradient (use the standard garmin calculation for okayish results)

Hi PePark, I am pretty sure that datafield can show more than 10 characters on Fenix 5S as I tested it a lot on this particular device. In fact I am just looking on it right now and it shows longer text. :) Are you sure that you don't have stripped length of the texts during export/import? Great idea. A navigation field including all the relevant data. Room for improvement: An option do display white text on black background. And very important especially for mountain biking: Give an option to display gradient in % and VAM. You could add a third field right next to the "Total Ascent"-field and make the Navigation field a bit smaller. Nevertheless great data field

Hello PePark! Thank you for your ideas. The truth is, I had basic calculations of gradient in development build, but I decided to not include them to release version because of insufficient accuracy tests. I will think about it for possible future releases. Adding another field is not possible, the navigation text can use whole width of screen if longer and It doesn't make sense to make text even smaller. Ability to show long navigation message is one of the key features of this data field. I am not currently planning to implement inverted color theme due to memory efficiency + I don't think it will look good anyway. :)
