I am testing on a vivoActive 3. Where is the HRV value stored? I am not seeing it in the Activity record. Also, is it possible for getting the value stored to Apple Health as an HRV measurement?

Just downloaded the app. Works well except the way it pulls into Garmin is weird. Shows up as an activity. For those of us who use Strava, it also pulls into that as activity. Jury is still out.

The app saves the HRV data as "Other" activity named "Test HRV". What is weird about that? If you have suggestion for a different behaviour please use the "Contact Developer" link. The strava issue is a generic interoparability issue between Garmin and Strava's platforms. It applies to all activities you log on Garmin. See

Worked great the first week I had it. This past week watch acts like it’s collecting data gives numbers on watch but hrv data is now missing from Garmin connect

If you still experience the issue please use the "Contact Developer" button so that I can help you resolve it. What is the watch model you are having trouble with? I cannot reproduce the issue on my end.

It works but it does not have good documentation to explain what all these numbers mean. For example what does HRV RMSSD value of 39.29 ms mean? How does this compare with others? What does it mean if it gets lower or higher? What does it mean for my fitness and overall health? pNN50 is in "%". "%" of what and what does it mean? Please, provide in your next update a detailed documentation on what all the values mean and how exercise may or may not modify them.

Did you follow the link on the description of the app: There it is explained what is measured and there is a link to the HRV wikipedia article. These are mostly time-domain methods. You don't know what time-domain methods are? Then I suggest you do your background reading on your own searching the measurement descriptions and acronyms.

It's a great app and I'm very happy for it. It makes my Forerunner 645 perfect. So thank you very much! You have done a great job!!! So I'm sorry to tell, there became problems with my F645 after I installed the app. The app itself works perfect, but the first problem appeared when I few hours after installation, took a walk outside which I was recording with GPS. At the end of my walk, I was going to press stop recording, but I could't do anything because my watch was "frozen" to show my pulse full light on. I pressed all buttons, but it did't help. Nothing happened. It was totally frozen. Then I found in Garmin forum an advice, to press light button so long that the watch would go off. And it helped. The watch got off, and I could start it up again. After this happening, I could not find information of my walk anywhere, it was gone. The watch had added steps but the walk was gone. I wanted to see if it would happen again, so I took 2 separate outside walks with GPS afterwards and my watch was working as it should be. But when I this morning took a new walk which I was recording with GPS too, my watch informed me after walking about 10 minutes, that it will go to energy save mode and I could see numbers counting down: 15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1. After that my watch face went dark. Then I pressed the start button and watch started to record again, but afterwards I saw that I had missed the first 10 minutes of my walk. I could not see it anywhere. Like it had not happened at all. Same than yesterday evening, watch still added steps, but the beginning of my walk was not anywhere to see. Battery was 87%, so no problem there. Also my watch had added 7 steps while I was a sleep. It has not happened before (but I have only used watches Vivoactive 3 for 3 weeks and now F 645 for a week, so it could be an coincidence and it may have nothing to do with this app. I hope you can fix the bugs, because I would like to continue using your app. Thank you beforehand!

Thank you for the review! As the problems you are observing happen when the app is closed then the app cannot be the cause them. What you are reporting look like device issues. For this Garmin's support is the most appropriate:

I have not tried the app yet but have been looking for this for a long time. I wanted to know if it can be made compatible for the Fenix 3 because my husband does not have the Fenix 5. I have the vivoactive 3 music so it downloaded for me. He would like to have it for his Fenix 3. Thank you, Linda Thomas

Due to hardware limitations it cannot be made compatible with Fenix 3. The app requires Connect IQ 3 to be supported on the device.

Great app, thanks! It is strangely difficult to get raw HRV data from Garmin devices in an easy way so I really apprecite this. Is it possible in any future update to force use of HR-strap instead of optical? As I am assuming it might be more accurate measurements

Thank you for the feedback! The scope of the app is optical only HRV readings coming from the watch. For the foreseeable future no HR strap support is planned.

Great app. At first it was searching for the optical sensor on my Vivoactive 3 for ages, but on second or third attempt it went fine. All the data are in the created activity.

Thank you for the feedback! The slow searching can happen and this is due to the way the sensor on the watch works. The native stress widget on VA3 can wait a lot for the same reason. It looks like the watch sensor doesn't like certain positions on the wrist. Usually if you try moving it slightly - helps. Another option which is not recommended if you want reliable readings to to press the "start" button on the watch. The HRV tracking will start irrespective of stable sensor reading but the final calculations will be unreliable. You can tell that the reading is unreliable if you see long streches of time wihout changes in the "HRV Successive Differences" graph.

WOW ! Excellent app, even if just after the 3min test I got "Transfer failed" (reason for the 4stars) on the device (FR 645 M sw 4.20) whereas it has correctly been uploaded on GCM with all HRV data in the summarize tab and in Chart Tab. Amazing and perfect app, I continue the test on this app and compare results with HRV Elite on Android. Thank you for your job and the free share for this.

Thank you for the feedback! I cannot reproduce the issue you experiened neither on Vivoactive 3 nor on the simulator testing all devices listed as compatible. If you want me to investigate it further please use the "Contact Developer" link.
