Is there a way to show time of day and stopwatch on the same screen? If not, is it possible for you to create such a face?

Stopwatch is a function only for widgets or apps, not watchfaces as it requires input buttons which are not allowed by Garmin. It is better to use the internal stopwatch function for that.

The seconds on the digital time display do not work.

Please read the description. Seconds are only displayed when you look at the watch AND only for 8 seconds. Garmins restriction !
