A simple data field for activity data screens, showing the total number of Calories burned since the start of the activity. The value includes both the resting, and the active calories. Every 20s, the rate of the energy expenditure is being sampled, and stored into the activity data file. A graph of the burned energy (metabolic rate) can be reviewed in Garmin Connect (see an example in the attached pictures).

INSTALLATION:
1. Install the app on your watch through the Garmin IQ store. 
2. On the watch, go to Activities, highlight the desired activity, and long-press the Menu button
3. In Activity Settings, enter Data Screens, add a new screen, or select an existing one
4. Select or change the layout (if needed), select and enter the field you want to use
5. Select Connect IQ Fields » tx Training Calories
