It's cool but I would like to override when I start and stop fasting, because it is never precise.

Hi Sem, nice that you like the widget! Regarding your request, I understand your situation exactly, but unfortunately due to very limited memory constraints there is not much I can do at the moment regarding allowing the editing of all your recorded fasts. That said, you can do the following as a work-around for correcting the latest fast: If you still haven't stopped the fast, Edit your start time before ending the fast (2nd Menu entry), then edit you fast ending time in the Records menu. Another option is, If you already stopped the fast, you can 1. Delete it (in Records menu - Delete last fast), then 2. Start/edit the fast start (2nd menu option) time - this will start a fast on the set date and time. 3. Stop the fast and accept. 4. Edit the last fast Ending time in the Records menu (this will recalculate all stats and you will have your actual fasting time logged). In the future I want to add the possibility to edit the start and end time right in the fast end summary view. Now due to Garmin's huge variety of watch interfaces and different memory restrictions, this is will be a very large effort, and possibly won't be available to more memory limited devices.

Is there a way to change the end fast time?

Udviklerens svar
16. oktober 2020, Zunido

Hi Tonya, Thank you for the review! At this time there is no way to adjust the fast end-time. But this is an highly requested feature (I also would need it sometimes). I plan to release this feature soon. Hopefully I can push it in the next update as I'm already close to finishing it. Best, André

Trying to put in the fast that I started last night but I keep running in to "end fast?" before I can change date/time. Then I can only change either date OR time before met with "end fast?" again. I guess you have to start it exactly when you start fasting otherwise it isn't worth it. I'll just keep using my phone's app.

Hi Dana, it should be possible to easily set/edit the starting time of the fast. Can you provide me more information about your device?

Is there any way to change the start fasting time? For instance if I start fasting at 5pm but then eat again at 7pm can I change adjust the fasting time accordingly?

Udviklerens svar

Hi Jack, yes! You can achieve this in the "Adjust Start" (second menu option). In older devices that don't support the dynamic menu, the entry name is "Edit/Set Start". There you can adjust the fasting start time.

Don't understand how to control this app. I removed widget but still get notifications on my Fenix 5s

Udviklerens svar
21. september 2020, Zunido

Hi Brian, thank you for your feedback. I'm not aware of this issue. Technically the widget must be installed for push notifications to work, since the logic that fetches the notification and pushes it to the user is part of the widget. Regarding controlling the app, have you checked the User manual, and/or the tutorial video linked in the description? If you still have issues with the widget, please contact me directly with a more detailed description. I'll be glad to help you out.

HI, I like your app however I would like to see how much time in between fasting . Lets say I have done my 16 hours and I stop fasting and I now entering my 8 hours of "eating" I would like to see that countdown until my next 16 hours starts. ,Anders

Hi Anders, first of all, I'm happy to know you find the widget useful! Regarding your suggestion, I'm sure that other people who do intermittent fasting would also find it useful. I'll see if I can run some tests internally and if there are no big usability issues coming up I might add it through a configuration option in a future update. Cheers, André

How do you access the parameters? Impossible to set up the fasting. Can’t even access it from Connect. Nothing works!

Udviklerens svar
16. august 2020, Zunido

Hi Celine, this is achieved by opening the widget's menu: * Hold Up-Key in a non-touchscreen device. * Press "Enter" key in a touchscreen device. From there you can start/stop the fast, select a fasting mode, etc. If you cannot open the menu, please contact me with your device model and firmware version, and I'll be happy to look into the issue.

Well done! Thanks for being open to suggestions and moving the “my fasts” to the Carousel. Been using the widget now for 1 week and working very well! I would highly recommend reaching out to developer if have questions. He will promptly reply and answer all your questions. It does no good to complain in review section when questions and issues can be answered via email. Keep up the good work and looking forward to future updates. Sending some avocados your way!

Don't work with Fenix 5 plus. Please resolve It. Just a screening with a 0 data. The star button don't work :(

Udviklerens svar
4. august 2020, Zunido

Thank you for the feedback, unfortunately I can only test the Fenix 5 plus in the simulator, where no problems can be detected. I'll try to see if there is anything that can be causing the issue. When you mention the star button, do you mean "holding-up" to open the Menu, or selecting "start timer" in the Menu? Feel free to email me with more details.

Finally an app that works with circadian! As a female you have to watch put not to fast for too long because of your hormones. Just a question, what's the fasting treshold used for?

Udviklerens svar
4. august 2020, Zunido

Hi Kim, the fasting threshold is the elapsed time from which it can be said you're "fasting" (entered Ketosis - meaning: "burning fat"). By default this is 12h (Anton et al., Obesity 2018), and you shouldn't need to change it. See: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5783752/ For more detail. Additionally, when stopping the fast below the configured threshold, it will not be added to the statistics/log and the ongoing streak will be broken. Please email me if you want to know more about the widget, I can send you a more in-depth user manual since the Connect IQ page only allows a 4000 chars description and no formatting.

I have no idea what it all means, you have several modes: 16:8 / 18:6 / 20:4 / circadian, I choose Circadian (24hr) I guess the rest you will have breaks to eat? / Water? No idea. Basically I don't want breaks, I want motivation. Then you have the option to add your threshold...also no idea what that means (the magnitude or intensity that must be exceeded for a certain reaction) Oke! I guess it means the goal you want to receive.... What about adding GOAL! With me it automatically says my goal is 13 hours, why? I want it to be 36hrs. You can also choose no goal, but then you basically just count the time that your fasting, so what's the fun of it - no motivation. Very disappointing

3. august 2020, Zunido

Hello! First of all, thank you for trying out the widget and taking the time to write down an evaluation. I'm sorry you didn't found it useful, although your review comes across as if you might have misunderstood the purpose of the widget. As stated in the description box, this widget is conceived to keep track of your fasting regimen, either tracking how much time fasts last or the number of consecutive fasts carried out, and not explicitly intended to provide motivation to keep someone on track (even though knowing how one's performed in previous fasts could supply enough motivation for some users). As an example: You set "Circadian" fasting mode. This means you will have a 13 hour window where you fast. After starting the timer, there will be a countdown until the fast is complete (Goal) - which will occur after 13h have elapsed. During the fast you can check on your progress and will also get notifications on the milestones reached toward it (half-way, 1h to go, etc). The fasting mode defines the goal. In the future we could add a custom fasting duration mode, so that users can be motivated in fasts taking longer than 20h. If you still have any doubts on how the widget works, please contact me directly and I'll do my best to help you out.

Very intuitive to use. Of course there's always room for improvement, but so far this widget has been working great on Venu. It would be nice to somehow cross this fasting information with the fitness and wellness statistics on Garmin Connect app... Perhaps in the future?

As I understood, the German localisation texts are too large for the Vivoactive3 screen size. I'll refactor the German translation to have "better-fitting" texts in the next update (as well as other small improvements). Thank you for the feedback!

Desværre, der er ingen statistikker endnu.
