The Concept2 is a popular rowing machine with ANT interface. AK Concept2 Rowing Edge is another app adjusted to Edge devices to
- get data from Concept2 PM5
- combine with Garmin data (like HR if not sent by Concept2)
- present on Garmin screen
- forward to Garmin Connect

But it's much more. In the bottom of the screen you can start
- several charts or
- virtual partner or
- interval training
- tunnel game

In case of app is not identifying Concept2 rower, please start Concept2 first, afterwards start app.

!!!!!!!!! Important: You must not have paired PM5 with Garmin device, because if paired it's claimed by Germin and no app has access to PM5.

!!!!!!!!! Keep in mind: Because of Garmin restrictions, it is not possible to forward distance data to native field in Garmin connect (native value is zero). As a workaround, distance is an own IQ value in the bottom.

Simply link Concept2 PM5 with Garmin via ANT, start AK Rowing and start workout. AK Rowing will start and stop automatically. To stop and upload your workout to Garmin Connect, use the 'back' button and follow the dialogue. In setting menu (menu key) there are some setting options.

Following data are shown on the device:
1st line: HR and speed (in km/h)
2nd line: distance and elapsed time
3rd line: total number of strokes and total calories
4rd line: cadence and power or burn rate (can be configured in settings menu)


Interval training is defined in a kind of meta language. Example: HT+(1,10)+8x((4,20)(2,15))+(2,10)
means:
- P = Power target training (Other are planned)
- T = intervals are defined in time periods (other are planned)
- (1,10) = interval definition 10 seconds in powerzone 1 (e.g. for warm up or cool down)
- 8x((4,20)(2,15)) = 8 iterations of 20 seconds power zone 4 with pause of 15 seconds in zone 2
Power zones are defined in 10 steps between 1/3 * max power and map power. Profile can be entered in Edge device, but I warmly recomment to use Garmin Connect.
