I really needed this for my Edge 520. Using MPH to pace (geared toward bikers) is a challenge when running. This Pacer works real good and is the only Pacer I can get to work like this AND fit into a data screen page with other data fields. So far I had an issue one time trying to synch, but I think it was a Garmin Server issue. The donate message is also overdone and blocks out the pace info. half the time, off and on (or seems like it). I'm solving that with a donation 'cause I need this app, and the donation request is very reasonable. To Peter, I suggest reducing the frequency of the donate message. Or maybe the donations are really important to you and this is how you make that compelling.

I've reduced the naginess of the nag message in version 3.9. ;) It was 10s/5s, now it's 15s/5s. There will always be a certain annoyance towards the donation encouragement message, but I prefer delivering the app in it's full functionality with nag over a time limiting trial or a limited functionality free app. Cheers, Peter.

Great App! I just miss the Perfect Pace field on this App so it would be perfect! Waiting for this update to donate (i would like to have ahead/behind on top and perfect pace on bottom)

I'm really tight in memory with this app, but I will see if this is possible. Cheers, Peter.

Great data field. Not liking the busy and distracting Donate message on the screen, though. But other data on screen is very useful.

Just used this app for the first time and it's perfect for my needs. I need reading glasses so have been struggling with the font size on the Garmin app, but this is exactly was I was looking for. If I could design apps my version would have been like this. Thanks Peter.

I'd like to commend the developer on the simple yet effective watch face. I almost willing to bet he might be colorblind because the shade is PERFECT for me to see. I'm red/green color "blind" (not completely, but enough such that I can't see tiny amounts). The huge amount of color allows me to quickly and easier see if I'm ahead or behind. I don't run with my reading glasses so it's PERFECT for me because the display is large enough I don't have to stop my run to see how I'm doing. Thanks!

I'm indeed color blind, but not in the degree that you have. I have difficulties seeing differences between brown/red and also between green/yellow. Enjoy the data field. Cheers, Peter.

Another quality product from this developer. I have used both the High Vis and Peter's Race Pacer with excellent results. I used the High Vis data field today in a 12km race and what a dream to use. Peter is fast to reply to questions and unlock keys are delivered promptly. 5 stars for the above 2

I love the concept of this app but am having trouble implementing
I also can't figure out how to post on the forum so I'm sorry for using this format
I have edited the data field on my phone to include the variables I'd like to display but when I upload this data field to my vivoactive all it displays is a timer.
Is there a help file available for it that might help?

Before you can post in the forum you need to login with your garmin username and password - the login link is in the top right corner. In case that doesn't work for you you can use the contact developer link on the app info page to get additional help. Peter's Hi Vis Pacer is a data field, which means you need to add it to an existing activity profile before you can use it. You can find this procedure in your user manual of your device, it's a rather lengthy procedure on the original vivoactive: from the clock screen press the start button, tap an activity profile - eg run, click the menu button - button with 3 dashes, drag the screen until you see 'data screens', tap the screen, tap the pencil icon on the 'screen 1' screen, tap 'Layout', drag the screen until you see '1 field', tap the screen, drag the screen to the right, tap 'edit data fields', tap the screen again, drag the screen until you see 'connect iq', tap the screen, drag the screen until you see 'Peter's hi vis pacer', tap the screen, press the back button several times. When you now start a run you should see my data field. Cheers, Peter.

Great Concept, I just sent 5 Euro via Paypal. First test on the cologne Marathon next sunday!

I was one of the people who originally asked for this app due to having problems seeing the fields in the original app (getting old). Used this Hi-Vis version this past weekend for a 5k followed almost immediately by a 10k race. I had enough time between to use my phone to reconfigure for the second race. In both races it was the only data screen I needed and worked like a charm! Can't say I PB'd but not because of the data field. So easy to just follow the Ahead/Behind field!

Peter, really good data field. Why is in single field mode the number size smaller then for the regular Garmin build in data fields ? Looks odd when you combine for example with the build in pace from Garmin. There is still room to increase the font size and better use the screen estate on a FR235. TX

Hi Raf. I have to program every screen layout (also the layout that is used in the mode where you combine with native fields). There is no documentation on which font size the native field uses on the real device or in which position it is shown. I also don't have a 235 myself. Can you take a photo and post it in the support topic http://bit.ly/hivispacer then I have a better idea how I need to adjust. Cheers, Peter.

Love it, worked like a charm and still ok for people with poor reading sight like me. Would be perfect if somehow how could have all fields (Ahead, ETA and Adj .Distance) without having to sacrifice font size. For that a layout should not have more than 2 datafields.

You can have a 2-field layout already if you set field 3 to the option "blank (no field 3). I'll add a autoscroll option for field 1 in a future version of the app so that you can have both ahead time and ETA displayed at regular intervals. Cheers, Peter.
