It’s time to correct it :-) “ Example: Running 95 minutes and burning 1400cal. 1400 * 4184 / (90 * 60) gives an average of 1084.7 Watt .” Instead of 90 it should be 95. To be honest I spotted it when I first downloaded the app years ago, but was curious whether any other users highlights it or not. Shame on them for not doing that, and shame on me for the test.

I don't exacly understand, when i'm running i should set 24% of efficency? Or 100%?

I not understand that number i have in the AVERAGING TIME OF PACE and DISTANCE FOR GRADIENT. What number should for me? thanks

AVERAGING TIME OF PACE : the time interval the pace is average over. Longer interval more smooth pace and short more respossive, but more unstable due to measurements fluctuating. DISTANCE FOR GRADIENT : The distance the calculate the gradient. gradient = distance / elevation difference

Sadly the data field shows me only a timer on my FR945. Additionally there is no data recorded regarding running power

1st go at the app. Muz say it looks good! I can see the power data on garmin connect but does not show up on Strava. Would be great if can be displayed on Strava!

Great app and simple way to have run power estimation without other device. After reading the Manetti et. al article an prorun.nl review I wonder if possible to have excel/Google sheet to calculate run power estimations for past workouts? Thanks.

Thx! This should be possible with Excel. You'll need to extract distance, time, (pace or speed,) and elevation into Excel. The changeling part is to find current velocity and gradient to be smooth enough, but still capturing the details. For the gradient you can use Excel linear regression and for velocity a window average over 10-30s. Doing this as post process you can get more accurate velocity and gradient values, since you look ahead, which my data field cannot. Then use Minetti.

Excellent ! Thanks for this app ! Where is possible to see avg power by circuit in Garmin connect... ? Impossible for me to find that.

Aplikacja super.

Excellent App. Easy to use. It would be interesting to correct the 20% variation detected in the revirew.

Great idea. Can you list the defaults in the description on connectiq, I'm not sure if I changed them or not from having it previously installed. Also, possible to have a treadmill mode? Maybe allow user to enter treadmill grade option or default to 1%.

Hey! Thanks! This is really good. I wanted to have a look at the power estimation algorithm but the Bitbucket source code repository seems to be private. Is that intentional?

Really great data field. I don’t have a Stryd, but I’ve always wanted to be able to train with power. This seems like a good way to do that without spending hundreds of dollars on power meters. As with some of the other reviews, I would only ask for a couple of extra features: 1) Average Power 2) Some mechanism for setting a target power range 3) The ability to export the power data to partner apps Again, this is an AWESOME data field. I’d high recommend it!

Still love it. 2 questions: A) if I use a footpod speed/pace data to be averaged come from there, right? B) Is grade calculated by the data field from elevation change and distance change or does the data field directly take the grade calculated by the watch?

Great App. One thing would be usefull: When you export the fit file the epower could be exported to. At the present moment, when you export the activity, this data is not attached.

it's brilliant! I ran a couple of times with a Stryd (the v2 - hr strap) and the numbers it showed are not far at all! yes, highly recommended!

Hello! Downloaded and did one run with it :) Do I need to adjust the 'Efficiency' from 24% to 100% for running or can I keep the default? Ref: 'Efficiency: Setting to 20-24% gives you approximately similar power out as for cycling, where as 100% is the energy you burn during running.'

Awesome app! A friend who is using STRYD, did a "quality" check to your app with very good match! So I am using the Running Power Estimator almost one year! :) One thing. Since I synchronize my activities to RUNALYZE, would it be possible to record the power values into the FIT native field for power (AFAIK nativeNum = 7)? Otherwise the power value is not showing up in RUNALYZE, this results in absence of the interesting training efficient values.
Desværre, der er ingen statistikker endnu.
