Displays the altitude/elevation change (total ascent minus total descent).</p><p></p><p>Elevation change is displayed in metres or feet, depending on the altitude units in your device settings.</p><p></p><p>━━━━━━━━━━━━</p><p></p><p>NOTE on accuracy: Total ascent and total descent are provided by the watch (not calculated by the app). If the watch does not have a barometric altimeter (e.g. most Forerunners), then elevation data comes from GPS data, which may not be totally accurate. (This is why Garmin Connect automatically corrects elevation data for watches without a barometric altimeter).</p>
