HydroDepth – The Most Accurate Water Depth DataField for Garmin

HydroDepth transforms your Garmin watch into a real-time, high-precision depth meter using the built-in barometric sensor. Unlike basic solutions, HydroDepth delivers centimeter-level accuracy, even in shallow water—no GPS tricks, no estimation, just true sensor data.

Additional information and tips:
• This DataField works in Open Water Swimming or "Other" activity profiles only. Garmin disables the pressure sensor in Pool Swimming mode, so depth measurement is not possible in that profile.
• To ensure maximum accuracy, change the following setting on your watch:
• • Settings → Sensors & Accessories → Barometer → Sensor Mode → Select "Barometer Only"
• • If you do not set this, your watch may override pressure data with GPS elevation, causing inaccurate depth readings.
• DataField settings (such as alert depth or countdown) are only applied after you synchronize your watch with Garmin Connect AND restart the activity. Make sure to do both after changing settings.
• HydroDepth operates fully offline, ensuring reliable readings anywhere – lakes, rivers, sea, or remote waters.

Trial limitations:
• Reduced precision: 0.1 m (metric) / 1 ft (imperial)
• No continuous vibration alerts for custom depth threshold
• No customizable air/underwater countdowns
• No vibration feedback for water entry/exit
