Albedo is a faithful homage to the classic unlit-LCD look of stock Instinct watch faces. The hero time is drawn digit by digit as a real 7-segment display - every unlit segment still shows as a faint dithered ghost, the way a real transflective LCD panel looks in daylight, not just a blank gap. The whole screen sits on a dot-dither canvas, the same texture a powered-down LCD segment shows.

Around the hero time, 7 complication slots are independently configurable from a 14-metric registry: battery percent, battery days remaining, heart rate, steps, calories, floors, active minutes, Body Battery, solar intensity, temperature, sunrise, sunset, date, and weekday + day. Six slots sit in the reference layout's icon-and-value positions; the seventh is the Instinct's own round subscreen, shown as a numeral disc.

Seconds are optional and yours to control: Auto (live while the display is awake, ghosted at rest), Off (a permanently ghosted seconds cell), or Always On. Time format is System, 12-hour, or 24-hour.

Every element is native Monkey C rendering - procedural 7-segment digits and dithered ghosting, no bitmap fonts, no alpha bitmaps, no anti-aliasing. That is a deliberate choice for the Instinct's transflective MIP panel, which renders 1-bit ink with no blur and no partial coverage.

Albedo redraws once per minute outside of the seconds cell, which is the one deliberate exception to a no-animation design: turning seconds on trades a small amount of battery life for a live display, exactly like enabling seconds on any stock Garmin face. No battery-neutral or efficiency claim is made for this release.

Albedo is built exclusively for the Instinct 3 Solar (45mm and 50mm) and Instinct E (45mm) semi-octagon mono-MIP displays.

Albedo ist eine originalgetreue Hommage an den klassischen Look eines unbeleuchteten LCD-Zifferblatts der ursprünglichen Instinct-Uhren. Die Hauptzeit wird Ziffer für Ziffer als echte 7-Segment-Anzeige gezeichnet - jedes unbeleuchtete Segment erscheint weiterhin als schwacher, gerasterter Geist, genau wie ein echtes transflektives LCD-Panel bei Tageslicht aussieht, nicht nur als leere Lücke. Der gesamte Bildschirm liegt auf einem Punktraster-Untergrund, derselben Textur, die ein abgeschaltetes LCD-Segment zeigt.

Um die Hauptzeit herum lassen sich 7 Komplikationsfelder unabhängig voneinander aus einem Register von 14 Messwerten konfigurieren: Akkustand, verbleibende Akkutage, Herzfrequenz, Schritte, Kalorien, Etagen, Aktivminuten, Body Battery, Sonnenintensität, Temperatur, Sonnenaufgang, Sonnenuntergang, Datum sowie Wochentag + Tag. Sechs Felder sitzen an den Icon-und-Wert-Positionen der Referenzfotos; das siebte ist das eigene runde Unterfenster des Instinct, dargestellt als Ziffernscheibe.

Sekunden sind optional und liegen ganz bei Ihnen: Auto (live, solange der Bildschirm aktiv ist, im Ruhezustand als Geist), Aus (dauerhaft ein Geistersekundenfeld) oder Dauerhaft An. Das Zeitformat ist System, 12-Stunden oder 24-Stunden.

Jedes Element ist natives Monkey-C-Rendering - prozedurale 7-Segment-Ziffern und Geistereffekt-Rasterung, keine Bitmap-Schriften, keine Alpha-Bitmaps, kein Antialiasing. Das ist eine bewusste Entscheidung für das transflektive MIP-Panel des Instinct, das 1-Bit-Tinte ohne Unschärfe und ohne Teildeckung darstellt.

Albedo zeichnet sich außerhalb des Sekundenfelds einmal pro Minute neu - die eine bewusste Ausnahme von einem animationsfreien Design: Sekunden einzuschalten tauscht eine kleine Menge Akkulaufzeit gegen eine Live-Anzeige, genau wie das Einschalten von Sekunden bei jedem Standard-Garmin-Zifferblatt. Für diese Version wird keine Aussage zu Akku-Neutralität oder Effizienz getroffen.

Albedo ist ausschließlich für die halboktogonalen Mono-MIP-Displays Instinct 3 Solar (45mm und 50mm) und Instinct E (45mm) gebaut.

Albedo es un homenaje fiel al look clásico de LCD apagada de las esferas originales del Instinct. Cada elemento es renderizado nativo en Monkey C - dígitos de 7 segmentos y tramado fantasma procedurales, sin fuentes de mapa de bits, sin mapas de bits con transparencia, sin antialiasing. Es una decisión deliberada para el panel MIP transflectivo del Instinct, que renderiza tinta de 1 bit sin desenfoque y sin cobertura parcial.

Albedo se redibuja una vez por minuto fuera de la celda de segundos, la única excepción deliberada a un diseño sin animación: activar los segundos cambia una pequeña cantidad de batería por una pantalla en vivo, igual que activar los segundos en cualquier esfera de Garmin. Esta versión no hace ninguna afirmación de neutralidad de batería ni de eficiencia.
