This app provides guidance on box breathing to reduce stress and achieve a calming state in the shortest possible time. Navy SEALs use this breathing technique to remain calm and focused in stressful situations. It involves breathing in evenly, holding your breath, breathing out, and holding your breath again. The menu allows you to set the frequency to 3, 4, 5, or 6 seconds. You can also set a timer for 3, 5, or 10 minutes. It is possible to activate the heart rate display, signal tones (if supported by the watch), and vibration.

If you open the menu in “Box Breathing” mode (By pressing the menu button, e.g., on the Fenix 8, hold down the Menu/UP button. The menu on the Venu 4, Venux X1, and Vivoactive 6 can only be opened once box breathing has been started.), you have the following setting options:

- Frequency (3, 4, 5, or 6 seconds): Frequency of box breathing
- Timer (off, 3, 5, or 10 minutes): Duration of box breathing
- Heart rate (on/off): Heart rate display during box breathing
- Sound (on/off): Beep during box breathing (if supported by the watch)
- Vibration (on/off): Vibration during box breathing
- Exit

A second feature of the app is the 4-7-8 breathing technique. This is a relaxation method based on Indian pranayama (yoga breathing) and made famous by physician Dr. Andrew Weil. It is often referred to as a “natural sedative for the nervous system.” It serves to immediately reduce stress, help you fall asleep, and control anxiety and panic by lowering your heart rate and stabilizing your blood pressure. The app guides you through 6 rounds of this breathing technique (settings cannot be changed in this mode in order to guide breathing in a simple and targeted manner), in which you inhale deeply through your nose for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 7 seconds, and exhale through your mouth for 8 seconds.

Diese App dient der Anleitung zum Box Breathing, um innerhalb kürzester Zeit Stress zu reduzieren und einen beruhigenden Zustand zu erreichen. So nutzen Navy Seals diese Atemtechnik, um ruhig und fokussiert und stressigen Situationen zu bleiben. Dabei wird gleichmäßig eingeatmet, die Luft angehalten, ausgeatmet und wieder Luft angehalten. Über das Menu lässt sich die Frequenz in 3, 4, 5 und 6 Sekunden einstellen. Zudem kann man einen Timer von 3, 5 oder 10 Minuten einstellen. Es ist möglich, die Anzeige der Herzfrequenz, Signaltöne (insodern von der Uhr unterstützt) sowie Vibration zu aktivieren.

Ruft man im Modus „Box Atmung“ das Menu auf (Über die Menu-Taste, bspw. bei der Fenix 8 die Menu/UP-Taste gedrückt halten. Das Menu bei der Venu 4, Venux X1 und Vivoactive 6 kann erst geöffnet werden, wenn das Box Breathing gestartet wurde.), hat man folgende Einstellungsoptionen:

- Frequenz (3, 4, 5 oder 6 Sekunden): Frequenz des Box Breathing
- Timer (aus, 3, 5 oder 10 Minuten): Dauer des Box Breathing
- Herzfrequenz (An/Aus): Herzfrequenzanzeige beim Box Breathing
- Sound (An/Aus): Signalton beim Box Breathing (insofern die Uhr das unterstützt)
- Vibration (An/Aus): Vibration beim Box Breathing
- Beenden

Ein zweites Feature der App ist die 4-7-8-Atemtechnik. Eine Entspannungsmethode, die auf dem indischen Pranayama (Yoga-Atmung) basiert und durch den Mediziner Dr. Andrew Weil bekannt wurde. Sie wird oft als „natürliches Beruhigungsmittel für das Nervensystem“ bezeichnet. Diese dient der sofortigen Stressreduktion, als Einschlafhilfe und der Kontrolle von Angst und Panik durch senken der Herzfrequenz und Stabilisierung des Blutdrucks. Die App führt durch 6 Runden dieser Atemtechnik (Einstellungen können in diesem modus nicht geändert werden, um einfach und zielgerichtet die 478 Atmung anzuleiten), bei der man 4 Sekunden tief durch die Nase einatmet, 7 Sekunden die Luft anhält und 8 Sekunden durch den Mund ausatmet.
