Name: EdgePro – Ride by Effort
Rating: 4.8 (53 reviews)
Author: datacycling

YOUR WHOLE RIDE ON ONE SCREEN
EdgePro replaces a wall of small numbers with one big number you can read at a glance – 3-second power, speed or heart rate, tap to switch. The two others stay right below it. The whole screen is colored by your zone, so you feel your effort before you read it. No power meter? EdgePro starts on speed and colors by heart rate.

SEVEN PAGES, ALL YOURS
Flip with a tap on the left or right side. Turn any page off, change the page order and put the fields you want on it – all from the Connect IQ app on your phone.
– RIDE: four tiles with mini graphs – time, distance, calories, cadence, wind or anything else
– EFFORT: 10-minute effort bars by zone, W' balance, grade, VAM, ascent and terrain profile
– WEATHER: headwind, crosswind or tailwind for your heading, gusts, rain chance, 6-hour forecast
– LAP: four lap fields with arrows showing how you compare with the previous lap
– ANALYSIS: best power for 5 s / 1 min / 5 min / 15 min / 20 min / 1 h (pick your four), time in zones, NP, TSS, climbing, work
– WORKOUT: opens by itself with a structured workout (see below)
– BIKE: opens by itself when Di2, AXS or eTap is paired – gear position, drivetrain graphic with cross-chain warning, left/right balance, shifting and power meter batteries

WORKOUTS, HANDLED
Start a structured workout (Garmin Connect, TrainingPeaks and others) and the Workout page opens by itself: step name, time left, target with live PUSH / EASE / IN RANGE, target bar, step average, % in target and the next step. In the last seconds of a step the next target pops up on every page with a short beep, so you never miss an interval.

WIND, WHERE YOU RIDE
The Wind field shows wind speed with a compass that turns with your heading: green = tailwind, red = headwind, yellow = crosswind. Forecast by Open-Meteo, Garmin weather as fallback.

THE DETAILS
– 53 fields: power, W/kg, speed, HR, cadence, L/R balance, gears, gear ratio, shifts, batteries, radar (closest vehicle), CORE body temperature, lap and workout values and more
– Zone chip and zone ladder, % of FTP, averages
– Dark, light, follow device or by daylight – tap the top bar to switch
– Auto page change every 10 s (optional; always on for Edge 540 and 550)
– Layout computed for every screen size; Edge 540/840 get a compact layout
– FTP from your device profile, or set FTP and W' in the settings
– Varia radar: with "Radar margin" on, the layout makes room for the Edge's vehicle column so it never covers your numbers
– ANT+ lights: front and rear light icons; gear number or teeth next to the main number (optional)
