Based on the caloric output from Garmin's Firstbeat algorithm and the percentage of fat / carbs burn rate depending on the user's current personal heart rate zone. Zone 1,2: 85% fat, 10% carbs; Zone 3: 50% fat, 50% carbs; Zone 4: 15% fat, 85% carbs; Zone 5: 10% fat, 90% carbs.
