A standalone strength session on your watch: a rest countdown that VIBRATES, your reps and your weight, and a real Strength activity in Garmin Connect.

This is the APP. If you would rather keep the native Strength activity and only add the missing rest timer to it, take the data field instead: "Rest Timer for Strength", same developer.

HOW IT RUNS
Open it from your apps list, press Start. START/STOP is the only button you need: it ends the set and starts the rest, then starts the next set. UP and DOWN count your reps while you lift, and add or remove 5 s while you rest. Hold UP or DOWN to change the weight - it carries over to the next set, so you set it once. Nothing ever blocks: leave the numbers alone and the set is still recorded, with its duration and its rest.

BACK opens the end menu: resume, save, or discard. It never quits a running session.

ON SCREEN
- The rest countdown in WHITE, as big as the screen allows
- A ring carries the state: full GREEN under the bar, emptying in ORANGE as you rest, full RED once it overruns
- The time of day
- One row at the bottom: your set number and reps while you lift, your reps and weight while you rest, HR in the colour of its zone

Rest reminders keep buzzing until you are back: one buzz at 45 s, two at 1 min, one more every 30 s. You count the buzzes, never your wrist.

WHAT GARMIN CONNECT SHOWS - read this before you install
The session is saved as a real Strength activity: duration, average HR, calories, and it counts in your Strength reports and personal records.

Your reps and weight are written as Connect IQ fields on each lap. They appear in the LAPS tab - on the phone you may need to turn it to LANDSCAPE to reach those columns.

What it CANNOT show is the EXERCISES table (set, name, time, reps, weight) and the muscle map. Those come from a FIT message Garmin does not open to third-party apps, so no app on the store can fill them - only the native Strength activity can. If that table matters to you, use the native activity with our data field.

SETTINGS - on the watch, no phone needed
Rest, warning, target reps, weight step, rest reminders, GO/REST word, blinking gauge, button marker, auto-resume, and recording on or off. All of them also stay editable from Garmin Connect on the phone.

SUPPORTED WATCHES
113 device profiles: fenix, epix, Forerunner, Venu, vivoactive, Instinct, Descent, MARQ, Enduro. On 1-bit screens a zone number replaces the colour. English and French.

Three permissions: Fit and FitContributor to record the session and write your reps, User Profile to read your HR zones. Nothing is collected, stored or sent.
