REQUIRES A POWER METER OR A TRAINER THAT BROADCASTS POWER. With no power source paired to your device, the field estimates nothing — a basic trainer with a speed sensor will not do.

How much carbohydrate your cycling training demands — live on your screen.

Not what you ate, and not calories: the carbohydrate demand of the effort, second by second, on a curve estimated from your own numbers.

ON SCREEN

- the session's total carbohydrate, in grams, as the big number

- on one line: the time, the g/h right now, and your power — larger than the other two, in your zone color

- FEC demand — FEC (Functional Energy from Carbohydrate) estimates the demand of the ride: FEC 100 is the carbohydrate one hour at your reference power demands

- time to the next FEC 100

- W' reserve when you go above your reference: how much of the effort above threshold is left, as a percentage

- average power appears once a minute

- and, if you want it, a graph of your W' reserve over the last half hour: it shows how much each attack spent and how much came back. It lives in the settings and starts switched off

ON THE WATCH

- a simpler screen, made for the wrist: the session's total carbohydrate as the big number, in the color that follows the FEC (blue, orange, red), and below it the g/h right now and the FEC — or the W' reserve while power is above your reference. Messages take the place of the label. No graph and no average power

- the field reads the cycling power meter paired to the watch; when running, walking, hiking or swimming it estimates nothing

MESSAGES WHILE YOU RIDE

- every 5 minutes, a carbohydrate refueling suggestion as a range (0-30, 30-60 or 60-100 g/h), which rises with the intensity of your ride and never exceeds the demand you have just spent. A suggestion, not a prescription

- a reminder that demand you do not refuel comes out of glycogen

- a warning when power goes past your reference and the effort will not last an hour

- and, if you are on another page of the device, the total and the suggestion appear on top of it, silently (needs Connect IQ alerts enabled in the activity profile; not available on the Edge 520 Plus)

AN ESTIMATE — the number comes from a model fed with your own data. It is not cardiopulmonary exercise testing, not calorimetry, not a lab test: no gas is measured and no sample is taken. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace any examination.

IN YOUR FILE — demand is recorded in the activity: per second, per lap and the session total.

SETUP — weight, reference power (FTP) and, optionally, 5-minute power.

PAYMENT — 7-day free trial, counted from your first ride in which the field counts (weight, FTP and power reaching the device). After that, the field needs an unlock code sold by GC Cycling & Nutrition: one payment per device. Edge: US$ 9.99; in Brazil, R$ 39.90 at launch, for the first 100 licenses, and R$ 49.90 afterwards. Watch: US$ 7.49; in Brazil, R$ 29.90. The license is yours and does not expire; what lasts a year is the assistance (device swap and support), and renewing is optional, at half the price. Before you press start, the field shows your device code; send it by WhatsApp +55 15 99107-5408, Instagram @gregorycinto or gccyclingnutrition.com.br to get your unlock code. Outside Brazil, checkout is not open yet — write to gccyclingnutrition@gmail.com and we will tell you the moment it is. GC Demand & Fueling

NO RELÓGIO

As mensagens aparecem no lugar do rótulo.
