Aerobic Guard is a full-screen Garmin cycling data field that helps you stay within your power, heart-rate, and cadence targets during long endurance rides. It also keeps cumulative carbs by now, speed, and elapsed activity time on the same page. It is not a workout player, medical device, fueling alert system, or FIT recorder.

After installing, add Aerobic Guard to a one-field, full-screen data page in the cycling activity profile you use. Smaller placements display `FULL SCREEN REQUIRED`. Open the data page once, then review its settings before your first ride. Settings are on the Edge itself, not in the Connect IQ phone app or Garmin Express.

On first start, Aerobic Guard can initialize power and HR guidance from your Garmin cycling profile - please adjust to your needs. Cadence starts at 80-95 rpm and carbohydrates at 60 g/h. These are editable starting points; the app never recalculates them later. Missing sensor values display as unavailable.

The carbohydrate number is the cumulative target by the current elapsed ride time, updated every completed 10 minutes. It is not a reminder or log of what you consumed. Aerobic Guard is free and has no ads, accounts, networking, or analytics.

Supported: Edge 540 / 540 Solar, Edge 550, Edge 840 / 840 Solar, Edge 850, Edge 1040 / 1040 Solar, and Edge 1050.
