Name: Sunwheel Dial
Author: ald.jan

Sunwheel Dial puts the whole day on one 24-hour dial: noon at the top,
midnight at the bottom, and the sun moving round with the time.

What you see:

- The sun on its path, with a beam from the centre. It shows half lit when it sits on the horizon.
- Twilight bands for astronomical, nautical and civil twilight, worked out for your location and today's date.
- A dot on the path for every sunrise, sunset and twilight event, plus solar noon and midnight.
- A sky that changes colour with the sun, a warm glow around sunrise and sunset, and stars that come out after dark.
- Polar day and polar night are handled too.

Make it yours:

- Digital or analog clock, on a dark, frosted or clear tinted dial.
- 6 colour themes: Atmospheric Blue, Deep Ocean, Sunset, Graphite, Aurora, Violet.
- 6 presets (Classic, Frosted, Clear sky, Midnight, Analog, Analog frost), or your own mix.
- Two independent data fields, at the bottom and inside the digital clock: steps, heart rate, battery, next sun event, countdown to the next event, sun position, moon phase, day length, solar noon, calories, distance or temperature (or none).
- The clock field shows an icon and a short value, or the weekday, or nothing.
- Seconds: hidden, always while awake, or blinking.
- Date as 17/10, 10/17, 17.10, 10.17, 10-17 or 17 Oct, and a leading zero.

Change the settings in the Connect IQ app:
(Garmin Connect → Device → Watch faces → Sunwheel Dial → Settings)
Or on the watch:
(hold UP → WatchFace → Customize).

Always-on (AMOLED watches): the full dial with its moving clock, or a centered
clock surrounded by the solar dial; it moves a few pixels every minute, kept
within Garmin's burn-in limits.

The face has been checked in the simulator across the supported device range.
Physical testing so far includes the Forerunner 255; physical AMOLED testing remains outstanding.

Free for 7 days, then a one-time unlock through Ko-fi: €1.50 early-bird price for the first 10 buyers, then €2.50. After the trial, the face keeps working with the first theme and the digital clock; the unlock brings back all themes, the analog clock and the data fields.

1. Buy the unlock on Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/s/cb2fdc0137

2. Find your watch ID: after the trial it shows next to the lock on the face, or any time on the watch:
- hold UP → Watch Face → Customize → Watch ID.

3. Get your code at unlock.aldjan.com with your Ko-fi email and the watch ID. It's instant.

4. Enter it in the Connect IQ app:
- Garmin Connect → Device → Watch faces → Sunwheel Dial → Settings → Unlock code.
Done for good on that watch.

One purchase unlocks up to 3 watches (a new watch, or a reinstall that changed the ID): get each code from the same page.

Privacy:
- Your location is used only on the watch, to work out the sun's position and today's sunrise, sunset and twilight times. It is never sent anywhere.
- The unlock is checked on the watch, offline. The face never connects to the internet and sends nothing anywhere.
- The unlock page stores your Ko-fi email, the purchase time and the watch IDs you unlock, only so you can unlock again later.
- No ads, no analytics.
