Testers need a compatible Garmin watch, an iPhone or Android phone, and a free or paid ChatGPT account with Voice available in the official mobile app. Voice access and limits may vary.

MotionRelay is a Connect IQ data field for compatible Garmin activities. During the beta, the planned complete experience uses the Motion Relay phone companion to receive selected live readings made available by the watch, activity profile, and connected sensors. Readings may include heart rate, pace, speed, distance, elapsed time, and cadence.

The watch screen provides connection status, a gentle activity indicator, and diagnostics when something needs attention. “Phone received” means the companion phone acknowledged the watch message; it does not by itself confirm delivery to ChatGPT or another service.

Availability and limits:
• The Garmin data field is available now as a beta preview.
• The iPhone and Android companion apps are available only to invited testers while their public store releases are pending.
• The watch download alone cannot provide the complete relay or AI-assisted experience.
• Metric availability varies by Garmin device, activity, sensors, phone connection, and background conditions.
• This is not a medical or emergency service.

Privacy and data use:
• MotionRelay accesses selected live workout metrics for the connected phone experience.
• Motion Relay does not sell workout data or use it for targeted advertising.
• Motion Relay does not create or retain a separate long-term workout history from this live feed.
• MotionRelay does not collect GPS tracks or precise coordinates.
• When a tester chooses to connect ChatGPT, the workout metrics they send are handled according to their ChatGPT account settings and OpenAI’s applicable terms.

The Connect IQ data field is free. Future paid subscriptions may be offered separately through the Motion Relay iOS or Android companion apps. No payment is required through this Garmin data field.
