Name: TapStage Game Free public beta
Author: Haptic-Pulse

The premier practical tapping game for Garmin watches. TapStage scores speed and accuracy using a hit-factor (tap-factor!) style system inspired by practical shooting sports like IPSC and USPSA. TapStage is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of IPSC, USPSA, or any affiliated organizations.

PUBLIC BETA !PLEASE READ!
TapStage is a public beta for testing. It is free during the beta and will become a paid app once testing is complete. Pricing and timing will be announced before that change. Beta scores and leaderboards may be reset during testing. Features, rules and provisional classifier levels may change.

BETA DEVICE COMPATIBILITY
This public beta tests compatibility, touch behaviour and readability across different watch models and screen sizes. Performance and layout may vary. Inclusion in the beta does not guarantee continued support or compatibility with the final paid release. The supported-device list may change, and a model may be restricted or removed if testing reveals limitations.

GAMEPLAY
The game consists of stages, or series of targets that appear on order.
1.) Practice: Short, medium or long stages (or custom)
2.) Match: Short (3 stages), medium (6 stages) or long stages (12 stages).
3.) Online leaderboards (BETA!)

THE RULES
Paper targets need two taps; steel targets need one. Centre A taps score 5 points, C taps 3 and D taps 1. Singles score 5 points. A miss costs 5; a No-tap costs 10. When a No-tap appears alone, wait for it to disappear. Net points never fall below zero.

Factor = net points ÷ elapsed seconds.

ONLINE BETA
Local play works offline. Ranked requires internet through Garmin’s supported connection and an optional pseudonymous profile. Link your watch using a code at haptic-pulse.com/tapstage/link/. No public Garmin identity is required. Connection availability varies by device and setup.

Classifier levels from D-Tapper to Grand-Tapper are provisional. Verified beta data will help calibrate future levels. Players can separately opt into a planned frozen beta tribute archive; participation is optional and can be withdrawn.

FAIR PLAY
Invalid runs may be rejected and suspicious results may be held for review. Ranked can be paused or require an updated app version. Contact us if a legitimate run is affected.
