TS Daily Run Coach is a data field for your everyday runs without a set target. It shows how hard you are running as five talk-test levels, and it only alerts you when your heart rate keeps rising at the same pace or stays near your maximum for a long time.

■ Five levels
Very easy / Can talk / Talk, breathing / Short words / Can't talk
- Default (Watch HR): uses your watch running heart rate zones 1 to 5 as the five levels. Nothing to set up. The talk-test wording is a general match to the zones, not a measurement.
- Chest strap: when a chest strap with the standard Bluetooth heart rate service is found, the app computes DFA a1 from the beat intervals and sets the level from it (1.00 / 0.75 / 0.60 / 0.50). If the strap drops out, it continues with watch heart rate.
- To stop the level flickering from measurement error, it only changes when the value stays clearly past a boundary for 20 seconds, and then holds for 30 seconds. A short buzz only when crossing the evidence-based boundaries (strap 0.75 / 0.50, watch zone 2 to 3 / zone 4 to 5).
- While the strap signal is poor or missing, the time is counted separately as "Pending" (grey).

■ Screen
- Outer arc: five-level colour band with a needle for where you are
- Centre: level pill, plus the DFA a1 value with a strap
- Bottom: Pace | Heart rate, and an "HRM" badge while a chest strap is connected

■ Heart rate alerts (two tiers, it never tells you to stop on its own)
- Notice (yellow): heart rate keeps rising at the same pace, or 90 % of max heart rate or more for 2 minutes
- Check (orange, stronger buzz): a larger rise, or 95 % of max heart rate or more for 1 minute. It asks you to slow down and check how you feel, with symptom guidance
- A continuing cause counts once; at most 4 vibrations in 5 minutes
- Same-pace comparison starts after 10 minutes and only on near-flat ground with known grade and a steady pace (not when speed is unreliable, e.g. indoors)
- A grey "Check heart rate" notice when wrist heart rate spikes

■ How to use
1. Running activity - Settings - Data Screens - a one-field layout - Connect IQ - TS Daily Run Coach.
2. Check that your running heart rate zones and maximum heart rate are set correctly on the watch.
3. (Optional) Wear a Bluetooth chest strap; the app finds and connects to it by itself. The watch may ask to pair the first time.
4. Start the timer and run. When you stop the timer you get a summary: today's intensity (time per level, alerts), heart rate change at a similar pace, a comparison with your recent similar runs (when available) and your easy-limit heart rate from the strap.

■ Garmin Connect fields (Connect IQ section of the activity)
- Easy / middle / hard time (min)
- Easy-limit heart rate and pace (when measured with a strap)
- Run type code, highest alert level, heart rate alert count
- Heart rate rise at the same pace (bpm)
- DFA a1 and talk level (charts)
- Lap DFA a1, lap heart rate

■ Settings (Connect IQ phone app)
Vibration, alerts on other data screens (off by default), language (auto / 8 languages)

■ Notes and limits
- For wellness reference only, not a medical device. Do not use it for diagnosis or treatment.
- This app cannot predict or prevent heart problems. No alert does not mean you are fine.
- If you have chest pain, dizziness, severe breathlessness or palpitations, stop right away and get help. Do not wait for a watch alert.
- The DFA a1 boundaries are general values used in research and can differ between people. The first minutes and the time right after a reconnect show "Settling" while the value stabilises.
- The strap feature needs a compatible chest strap with the standard Bluetooth heart rate service. If the watch is already connected to the same strap, the app may not be able to connect too; it then works with watch heart rate.
- Wrist heart rate can lag or spike with movement.
