The background shifts in real time from a light day blue through grey twilight to a deep night, driven by your location's actual sunrise and sunset. A small sun travels across an arc overhead, rising on one side and setting on the other as the day goes on.

Below it, a simple moon phase icon, new, crescent, half, gibbous, full which updates automatically. (It's phase only, not a live sky position: getting that right would need GPS, which this face deliberately doesn't ask for, everything else here comes from your watch's own data, no location permission at all.)

Current weather and temperature sit in the corner, alongside today's date and a notification indicator that lights up when you've got something waiting. 

Your step count sits quietly in the horizon below a simple mountain silhouette.
