This data field tracks real-time, average and total METs for activities. Graph and summary data is available in Garmin Connect at the end of a workout.

The MET (metabolic equivalent) is a way to quantify the intensity of physical activity. It is determined by comparing your working metabolic rate to your resting metabolic rate. With this data field, you can track the real-time intensity of your activity (MET RT), as well as review the average intensity (MET AVG) and total MET minutes achieved (MET TOTAL). This information can help you understand the intensity and overall impact of your physical activity.
