Custom Activity Alert is an additional data field for Garmin standard activities such as Hike, Walking, Climbing, and Cycling.

This data field helps you stay aware of important activity events with configurable alerts:

- Get warned if you forgot to resume the activity and movement is detected while paused
- Get notified each time you gain a chosen amount of ascent
- Get alerted when you go off course by a chosen distance
- Get a reminder N hours before sunset, so you still have time to return in daylight

All alert thresholds can be customized to fit your personal preferences and activity style.

If a threshold is set to 0, the corresponding trigger is disabled.
