For changing SETTINGS
 
1) Via Garmin express or via Garmin connect on your Phone (Bluetooth must be on before this operation)
2) start   Garmin Connect or garmin express
3) manage applications, select Watch face...

For heart function The watch takes a reading every couple minutes. it is not a real time of your heart rate
