YR Weather - Data Plugin

This app is a data plugin. It's built to work together with my watch faces (available separately) and feeds them live weather data: temperature, conditions, humidity, wind, pressure, UV index, dew point, rain and snow, a short forecast and more. Install it alongside one of my compatible watch faces to unlock those extra weather fields.

It's also useful on its own. It has its own pages for details, a forecast, air quality and location, and its temperature, condition and air quality complications work with any Garmin watch face that supports complications, not just mine.

The weather data comes from YR, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, one of the most reliable forecasting services around. There's no API key to grab, no account to create and nothing to sign up for.

A couple of extras you can switch on in settings:

- Location name (using OpenStreetMap), so you can see where the forecast is actually for. On by default.
- Air quality (using Open-Meteo), with an AQI rating plus PM2.5 and PM10 levels. Off by default, since not everyone wants it, avoiding an extra call.

You can also set a manual location instead of relying on GPS, pick how often it refreshes, and choose your preferred units for temperature, pressure and wind speed.

This app is an independent, third party plugin. I'm not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with YR, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, OpenStreetMap or Open-Meteo.
