Strokes Gained is the stat the Tour uses. Every shot has an expected value based on distance and lie. Sink a putt from 20 feet and you gained strokes; three-putt from 8 feet and you gave them back. PuttSG calculates this for every putt and ranks you live against 192 Tour pros and legends (Tiger Woods, Seve, Nicklaus) plus 8 handicap benchmarks from Scratch to HCP 36.

Four putting modes, one watch
IN/OUT logs every putt as make or miss. GRID 3x3 adds directional miss patterns. ADVANCED logs slope, break and lag zone, scoring your Reading and Lag Quality. TOUR mode declares your read before the putt and confirms what the green did after: the only tracker that separates execution errors from reading errors.

Round mode: real Strokes Gained, the way the Tour calculates it
Play 18 holes from your wrist. Three presses per shot (record, club, lie) and the app auto-advances to your next shot with the right club already suggested from your own averages. PuttSG learns every course you play: from your second round, each shot's SG is computed from your true GPS position to the pin, accurate even on doglegs where distance-chain apps drift. Proper Broadie methodology: tee tables off the tee, approach tables by lie, exact step-counted putt distances on the green. All four SG categories (Tee, Approach, Short Game, Putting) plus GIR% by par, scrambling, sand saves, up and down, leave distance, miss direction and scoring distribution. OB and water handled by the official Rules of Golf.

Your rounds train your practice
This is what no other tracker does. Every on-course putt enters your putting history at its exact distance — your real-green performance sharpens your Putting IQ. And the Putting Coach watches your rounds: if 3-putts are leaking strokes, it reads where your first putts finish and prescribes the exact drill at the exact distance — lag GRID at 8-10m, IN/OUT circle at 1.5-3m, or gate drill under pressure. The round detects, the practice fixes, the next round validates.

The Analyst — a commentator on your game
From your second round, PuttSG stops showing tables and starts talking. It compares your recent rounds with the ones before and tells you what is carrying you and what is holding you back.
